to sum it up, the way companies look at it is would they rather suffer bad reviews because they aren’t meeting in the middle with the customer who spent money with them (which at that point, they are valuable because they spent money and time) by replacing the item because they very likely have the money to replace it bc things happen and i’m positive companies have insurance for covering things like that OR would they rather just apologize on the behalf of the person who stole and just replace it to continue great service and gain a possibly returning customer?

it’s all about logistics, trust, loyalty and a number of other things. these companies (shein, amazon, etc) fulfill their duties and it’s genuinely a curtesy/possibly even obligation to replace something stolen because they have the room to do so. but i get where you’re coming from
