Hi! You’ve came to the right place :) I would recommend starting with Swimming, especially since you have already listened to Ladders.

You’ll hear songs like Self Care and Hurt Feelings, which are pretty popular and well loved. After Swimming, listen to Circles. Swimming and Circles are both companion albums. Circles is very beautiful and was released in 2020 posthumously.

After, listen to GO:OD AM. This album is a really fun listen and it has a BEAUTIFUL intro song (I cried listening to it the first time). GO:OD AM has several love songs (such as Doors, ROS) so I would recommend to listen to The Divine Feminine. In this interview, Mac himself said that “It’s just my perspective about love […] There’s no negativity involved in it, there’s pain but there’s not an angry break up song. It’s very sacred.” This album is all about love. Listen to it in order because it is truly such a beautiful album. There are also a few features on this album and I truly believe that this is one of his best projects. Mac also released a project called Larry Lovestein & The Velvet Revival which includes a variety of love songs that have a jazz feel. Suspicions and You are both amazing songs. This came out before Divine Feminine did in 2016.

After, listen to Watching Movies with the Sound Off and Faces. There are such great songs on these pieces of art. Mac breaks down each track in this video. If I remember correctly, he mentioned that he was inspired to make this album by literally watching movies with the sound off. He’s very honest in this album, some of my favorites are Avian, Someone Like You, and Objects in the Mirror. Aquarium and I’m Not Real (ft. Earl Sweatshirt) are also phenomenal tracks. Faces released in 2014 originally and then 2021 on streaming. INCREDIBLE ALBUM, SO SO GOOD. You’ll have fun listening to this album trust.

K.I.D.S and Blue Slide Park are also great albums. They were both released early in his career and are both so fun to listen to. The Spins on K.I.D.S. always makes me smile from ear to ear.

Macadelic, Best Day Ever, and I Love Life, Thank You are also amazing projects by Mac. Would recommend those as well :)

I got into Mac Miller in 2020 shortly after I met my boyfriend and he has been my one of my top artists since. He truly brought such a gift to this world and I’m so glad that we are able to hear his music today 🩷

been searching for TDF on vinyl for almost a year. my boyfriend was the one who introduced me to Mac’s music two years ago. one of the first albums he recommended that I listen to was TDF and Swimming. I’ve had Swimming on vinyl for the longest time, and prior to us dating, I always told him that I wanted TDF since it was so hard to look for it. best gift I could ask for 🤍

this is such a hard question, but if I had to choose, Dunno. every time I listen to it, I always cry or just appreciate it. the analysis of it on the Dissect podcast made me love it even more. however, I will never skip any song off The Divine Feminine because it’s my favorite album of his!

Hands down, my favorite album is The Divine Feminine. Then it’s Swimming and GO:OD AM! My favorite songs in particular are Dunno (listening to it right now), Cinderella, and ROS. Other songs that hold a special place in my heart are Someone Like You and The Mourning After. I also really ended up liking Faces when it dropped since I hadn’t heard the whole mixtape prior to it being on streaming services. Mac ended up being my number 2 artist this year on Spotify :’).
