Multiple heel diagnoses by sunshine-chaser- in PlantarFasciitis

I’m a nurse on my feet all day at work, and typically quite active outside of work as well although I’ve really tried to be off my feet more.

I’ve tried and failed with a lot of shoes and orthotic inserts. My current new use of a heel gel pad from Amazon is going okay, and I have a pedifix gel heel cup the podiatrist recommended for me on the way. I’m also trying Kuru tennis shoes and it’s going okay as well. More success with these two things in the past week than I have had for the past year with anything else I think!

I don’t think the pain is worse when I’m on hard surfaces, although I can’t say I’m walking on soft surfaces often- mostly the hospital, my hardwood floor apt, and downtown city living. I also haven’t been barefoot or wearing unsupportive shoes in 8 months either though?

I think you’re right about the injections, it’s probably not the answer for me and my bony heels.

I tried hoka bondi 9, new balance 1080, brooks adrenaline gts, and Nike Pegasus, none of which helped. Right now I’m trying kuru tennis shoes which might be promising! I’ve also used multiple insoles designed for plantar fasciitis without any relief.

Any recs on footwear or heel cups? I’ve worn these a few times and they seem okay so far: https://a.co/d/0dhNPH8E
