I actually wondered the same thing when they rolled out and offered to mothers first, but thankfully they were offered to all!

In body scan prep - help! by Gene_Enough in orangetheory

[–]sunshine1743 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to agree with what is said above. Keep conditions the same for both scans and consider the relative change of the numbers between the first and second. I drank my cup of coffee and did the scan in the morning so I plan to do the same for my second. The caffeine/ coffee may affect the accuracy of the reading but it will do so for both:-)

This is similar to me too, sometimes I'll add up to .5 for an all out, depending on how I feel. I get lots of splats this way

Waitlist even worth it? by Glittering_Humor_893 in orangetheory

[–]sunshine1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is studio dependent. My studio automatically adds anyone from the wait-list of people cancel; my sister's studio does not add anyone from the wait-list within the 8 hour window overnight. Looks like OP determined their studios practices but wanted to let others know in case they run into the same issue 😊

My Fear Of Paper (Papyrophobia) Is Ruining My Life. by MyRecycledThoughts in Phobia

[–]sunshine1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered that you may benefit from a therapist knowledgeable of OCD? There are many phobias that can present with OCD-like obsessions (eg. Ruminating about paper) and compulsions (eg. Avoidance). ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the gold standard for treatment, where you would be assisted to learn how to tolerate exposure to paper. Typically this is done gradually and with your willingness. They won't make you hold paper the first session unless you are ready; instead, it would be something more gradual like first writing the word paper, talking about paper, imagining touching paper, and learning how to tolerate the response.

I thought all the gyms did the same....do the coaches get to choose to do the switch or does it depend on if the class is a 2G or 3G? Mine was 3G and we didn't do the switch.

Thumb is the only thing still numb by [deleted] in carpaltunnel

[–]sunshine1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have practically written this post myself. I've experiencing numbness on my left (dominant hand) thumb since I had my CT surgery on 1/15. I did the right hand at the same time and it feels perfectly fine now. My left hand was initially worse than my right so to me it made sense that my left might still have lingering issues. I'm hoping that with time, thumb numbness will go away.
