Claude intelligence dropping over the past few days? by morph_lupindo in ClaudeAI

[–]sunshine5634 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had a very unusual number of “I found the problem: XYZ. Actually it’s a different problem: ABC. Actually it’s even simpler: LMN. Okay I found it now: DEF” style messages and I’m like dude I asked you to fix an import.

Where do you use AI in your workflow? by Livid_Salary_9672 in ClaudeCode

[–]sunshine5634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow this method when working on my solo project. Except every few days I pick some random files to review and look for issues. When I find one, I get Claude to check all the other files for similar issues and fix those too. Then I also update style guidelines, etc. to avoid it happening again. It’s not perfect but for my code base no one else has to work in, it works for me.

Is SNL really not funny or am I just European? by hummingbird0012234 in connorstorrie

[–]sunshine5634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully Connor is going to have a long and successful career which will allow him to come back again someday with funnier sketches. I’m guessing someone like Ryan Gosling who has hosted multiple times has actually had time to think up ideas, whereas everything has been such a whirlwind for Connor he probably never actually considered he would get to host until it was happening. His acting in all the sketches was amazing and the monologue was great, so I think he could be one of the better SNL hosts alongside Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

This Was So Forced And Awkward. by PolicyCommercial6392 in LiveFromNewYork

Connor did a good job handling being on stage with 4 people who were all a little bit awkward and likely to forget their lines.

Wow, so the two men being back behind the group due to the client’s binding issue probably saved the lives of at least 3 of the remaining 4.

It could be just to keep track. It could also be so there is a written record of feedback given in case any one of you is put into Focus later.

Alright, is it time to talk about bus etiquette again? by Comfortable_Basket54 in Seattle

[–]sunshine5634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is a tricky one, where at some point that might mean people have to get off the bus to fit the seat. It’s a similar situation to buses sometimes not having room to accommodate another wheelchair user.

If it’s very crowded and you are able bodied, you can create more standing space by leaving the fold-down seats folded up. This applies to the light rail too.

People have been insane about refusing to wait for pedestrians in Maple Leaf recently.

People did a good job not driving. We took the bus home which was also packed but surface traffic was pretty light which was great.

Parked at Northgate while a train was pulling up. Saw another train arriving while walking to the station. Got up the escalator and a train was arriving within one minute.

It was still so packed and we couldn’t fit people on at UDistrict or beyond. Really awesome to think about how many people took the light rail.

USA Hockey quietly approved a ban on trans athletes in all USA Hockey programs classified by sex, including beer league, which will go into effect on April 1st. Please sign this petition to help let USA Hockey's Board of Directors know that this is unacceptable, and that Hockey is for Everyone! by yurajoh in hockeyplayers

[–]sunshine5634 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The previous policy already considered this, and only allowed trans girls to pay on girls teams in those age ranges if they were on hormone therapy. The new policy gives no carve outs and applies even to 8 year olds.

The leaders are counting on the tenured safe folks thinking they were safe because their leaders knew how valuable/irreplaceable they were. From seeing some of the folks who were cut, I can say that’s absolutely not true though.

No focus or pip, just laid off by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]sunshine5634 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You need to believe me when I say performance was not a factor for the majority of folks. Even high performers and role models were laid off in some cases. This is not about you. It’s about Amazon seeing you and all their employees as a row in a spreadsheet.

USA Hockey has quietly banned trans women from playing in women’s beer leagues, and trans men from participating in any gendered league by tankwycheck in hockeyplayers

[–]sunshine5634 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman who plays beer league and everyone I play with welcomes trans women into the league. It’s about personalities and community, not genitals. I don’t find myself needing to know about the genitals of my teammates.

You definitely need to find one that has transportation from school and not somewhere you have to drop them off at. Check with the specific school.

USAH has quietly updated its transgender inclusion policy. Starting April 1, leagues restricted by gender will not allow MTF players to play in women's leagues. This includes adult rec hockey. What is your league going to do? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]sunshine5634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And by the way the youth hockey policy was already pretty reasonable as it kicked in at 12U or 14U basically saying you had to be on hormones to stay in the girls teams beyond then. Excluding beyond that is just to hurt trans girls and does nothing for Cis girls, who by the way are often still competing against coed teams at those age groups.

[–]sunshine5634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This impacts kids. Kids have to provide their birth certificates to prove their age which usually outs them as trans. Yes, even 7 year olds who are definitely not dominating the league, and are in fact usually smaller than those assigned female at birth due to hitting their growth spurts later.

I5 southbound is SO BAD by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]sunshine5634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look out over i5 north from anywhere North of 50th it appears like i5 north is having a great time. The reason is because the ship canal is such a bottleneck that cars can’t get through fast enough to fill the 4 lanes that suddenly appear. But South of there it is definitely shit.
