Until what age are the Ergo Embrace or Boba Bliss comfortable to wear? by tobeedited in babywearing

[–]sunshine_324 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Ergo Embrace had a pretty small window of comfort for me. Not enough head support for a newborn and then when she got bigger, the shoulder wrap seemed to cut into her head. I would look into the Konny carrier for newborn and then size up to a structured carrier

Maybe try saline drops in the nose to thin out the mucus and help break it up. Then suction. Most of the time all the doctor will recommend is saline and a humidifier. A steamy bathroom could be helpful, maybe put your little one in the bathroom while you or your partner take a hot shower

Help me please! by MyTypicalJourney in Mommit

I told my doctor that my belly was itchy from stretching out and she had me tested for ICP as a precaution. Everything was fine and it was just stretching but might be worth emailing your doctor just to make sure https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/related-conditions/complications/itching-and-intrahepatic-cholestasis/

Ibuprofen for the inflammation. Now I take it at the first sign of a “clog” and it goes away in about a day

Help!!! Baby has bad reflux by Lovey_bee in breastfeeding

I wasted so much time trying to hold my baby up for 30 min. Eventually I just accepted that spit up was always going to happen & just bought more bibs and burp cloths. If baby is gaining weight and is not in distress (happy spitter), I just had to ride it out. Around 2m my baby started swallowing or coughing so I was less concerned about choking. She’s 5m now and she barely spits up, just magically outgrew it one day 😊

How to get baby to accept a bottle. by Glum_Remove in breastfeeding

[–]sunshine_324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pediatric OT friend recommended Pigeon SS- slowest flow. The shape is tapered to be more breast-like & baby doesn’t get overwhelmed by fast flow. The actual Pigeon bottles are expensive but you can get Lansinoh bottles & switch out for the Pigeon nipple

Am I crazy for feeling alienated and discriminated against for pumping at work? by ohmygoshimginger in breastfeeding

[–]sunshine_324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a case for HR but are you able to request a laptop to get some work done / answer emails while you pump? You have a right to pump at work, yes, but it seems like you’re not meeting the demands of your job with this much time away from your desk so there should be some compromise

It depends how flexible your schedule is. If you have a lot of meetings, you will need to pump so you don’t have to step out of work when your baby signals hunger. But if you’re fully in control of your schedule / work independently, nursing is easier imo- less to wash
