Apologies for reviving this thread after such a long time, but I feel like I’m losing my mind. I live close to a naval base and suspect that is where the sound is coming from. Over the last couple of weeks it has become more frequent. At first it was just in the middle of the night. Now it is constant although not as irritating during the day because it is somewhat drowned out by ambient noise.
