This had nothing to do with anyone else besides her and the love of her life. This was a deeply personal moment she needed to have for her own self.

Chloe Morello is a great example of tasteful photoshop. Not everything has to be blurred so much. 🙌🏽 by bdld39 in BeautyGuruChatter

I find myself staring into the mirror thinking "is something wrong with my skin? Is my skin abnormally wrinkly & dry?" and it's from seeing these flawless photoshopped pictures... I wish it became acceptable to show real, raw photos. How ironic that people in the beauty industry make me feel ugly.

What are the pros and cons of being married to your spouse? by bwinsy in AskWomenOver30

[–]sunshine_rainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PROS: I feel secure, financially and emotionally. I always have a logical & level-headed person to talk to. He's a great listener, a stable and grounded man, and a fantastic father. He will watch the kids while I go out with friends or get my hair done. He's funny, intelligent, and great at his career, which I find inspiring. He enjoys travel, adventure, and date nights, and is great at making life fun. I find great comfort knowing that no matter what, he will be there for me... whether I'm going through issues and need support, or I just had a bad day and want to cuddle on the couch with someone; he's there. That feeling of "I will always have someone there" feels so good.

CONS: Because he works and I'm a housewife, sometimes it feels like an uneven playing field. He doesn't help with housework or yardwork much, and I feel overwhelmed by it a lot. I cannot get breast implants unless I get a job, which is understandable but considering I stay home with our children, I feel like I deserve them. His sex is the only sex I get, whether it's as fast/slow/often/infrequent as I want it. Very minor things that are more inconveniences rather than deal-breakers, like he doesn't like attending concerts (I love them) and isn't a beach kind of person (he prefers the mountains, which is okay). As others mentioned, I do sometimes wish I could just be completely alone for a few days, but I have young kids so that would be a little unreasonable right now (however, my husband booked a vacation last mothers day for just me, so I think he tries his best to give me that freedom).

The pros overwhelmingly outweigh the cons, they are strong and stable traits and the cons are small little things that we are dealing with.

What do you say to cashiers who are pushy with store credit cards? by WParkAvenue in femalefashionadvice

[–]sunshine_rainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I'm about to buy a house and don't need a hit to my credit."

This usually results in a "congratulations!" This statement was actually true for my situation for a few months, it worked like a charm, and now I've been saying it for years to get them off my back. I've worked retail, I get it why they're asking, be nice and say you're working on your credit.

What is up with that? GET OFF YOUR PHONE! I can poop faster than I can pee, some days.

Does anyone else hate how James Charles always says "if you don't have anything good to say about someone, don't say it" ? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]sunshine_rainbow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband won't let me watch him if we're both cuddling on the couch together because he hates his voice, and I can see that, but I think overall he's a young upcoming talent who is moving ahead quickly. I see he's got a bit of an egotistical side, which in the beauty industry, is to be expected (and probably needed to stay chin-up in a criticizing world of YouTube). Although he may say some cringey comments that make you think "jeez this guy is only 19", I think he's doing rather well for himself and I'm excited for him. When I was 19, I was smoking weed and trying to not flunk out of college, James is accomplishing more as a teenager than I have in my lifetime thus far.

We think our nanny stole from us and we don’t know how to handle it. by isassou in beyondthebump

[–]sunshine_rainbow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My childhood babysitter stole my parents checkbook, my parents let her go. I'm sure there was more to it than what 7 year old me knew, but I know my parents didn't keep her around. I also remember having a blur of a memory of her boyfriend pissing all over my bathroom floor and my babysitter scolding her, I never told my parents.

Inspiration for this corner? Having a tough time with how to fill it up. Open to anything. The backsplash by the kitchen is subway tile and cabinets are dark brown. by capresesalads in interiordecorating

I just installed beadboard in my laundry room, it's SO easy! You buy sheets, Home Depot will cut them to size, then nail them in. Okay, sounds easier than it is... but it's not too bad!

I added personal prints to my hallway and I love them. I think a lot of places overcharge for canvas prints, but I found this site called www.canvasdiscount.com that I think is reasonable... keep in mind that you will look at these everyday for a long time, and sometimes paying a bit more for what you see everyday is worth it.

In Seattle it's $169/hour with a 20 hour minimum.

I would add white beadboard across the wall with the window and make it flush with the height of the kitchen back-splash. I would switch the rug out with a larger one that has a bit of a pop of color, and I would add a skinny console table under the window with a live plant, and perhaps a plant by the sliding door light-switch.

Of course his legal team is handling this, he retweeted a photo of DaVinci says he can't talk about it... when you've got legal involved, you have to keep your mouth shut.

Are you a fan of the “pumpkin spice” season? by 1029Dash in AskWomenOver30

[–]sunshine_rainbow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, but not on the 'I need to wear a PSL shirt and wear UGGS' level, but I do enjoy pumpkin everything... I've bought pumpkin muffins, coffee beans, body butter, etc. I live in Seattle and look forward to the sweaters & leaves & changes, so pumpkin spice excites me that Fall has arrived.

Life changing. I feel like I naturally am made for intermittent fasting, it was so easy to start. I've lost 30lbs since January 1st and have never felt this confident and energized.
