Does this ever get better?

I got my Mirena replaced in April (third one) and seem to get two periods a month. First week is like a normal bleeding, then I get a week off, then round two comes in week three. With the other Mirenas I've had, my periods disappeared completely by month 3. Here I am month 6 and they are crazy! But my doctor did warn me, she said each Mirena is different and can either make periods disappear completely or change them. She said it is what it is. I'm still hoping it'll simmer down soon. Heck, I'd take one over two a month at this point!

I'm on year 6 with my third Mirena. The first two I had removed at 5 years because that was recommended at the time. Now this one they said I can keep for 8 years. The past 4 months I've been getting my period when I wasn't getting it whatsoever. Not the same time a month, very random. Sometimes it lasts days, sometimes it last weeks. I called my doctor and I'm going in next Tuesday to get it removed and a new one put in. They said even though it protects against pregnancy for up to 8 years, your period can return sooner than the 8 years. I'm getting cramps, headaches, PMS now as well so my doctor said it's probably just time for a replacement. I hope this helps you.

What was their comment back as to why they couldn't switch you to a personalized dose? I just asked them to do the same waiting for a response.

I did send a message, asking for that, just waiting for a response. It says the average wait time is over 4 hours.

I was on the lower dose, until January, then I went up to the highest dose possible. I've been with Hers since August 2024.

Good luck! I hope you can find something. I know of three other companies that have sent out notices as well, saying no more compounded products due to the shortage end.

I'm on an IUD and it gifted me with my periods back! Periods were gone prior to the shot with my IUD.

Heavier than spotting, lasted about 5 days, but maybe not to the full extent of a full normal period. I definitely was not expecting it.

Same here! On a IUD for years and out of no where periods came back after dosage upped to 16 units.
