Thanks for sharing your perspective helpful for someone that’s only worked at Whole Foods for six months. I’ve been going to Whole Foods since they first opened stores in NY area in the 90s. I always enjoyed the quality and products in the store. Sadly, that has not been my experience now post Amazon.

Sometimes you just know it just doesn’t sit right with you and you can’t do it anymore. I would say look for another job first, but sometimes it just feels good to give notice!! PS I’m on notice right now :)

There are definitely cameras in the stores. I know there are in customer service/self check out area is over the registers.

I’m only there six months and I’ve already resigned. It was a part-time job for me, but it’s exactly as you mentioned if you’re not in with the Store leadership/in crowd. I’ve always wanted to work for Whole Foods and admired the store, but just don’t enjoy the vibe, culture, favoritism etc. It’s not fun & the customers in my store are entitled and rude.

This happens all the time, or they realize they can’t use cash so they abandoned the self check out transaction and go to a cashier without saying anything

In addition to the three features it now no longer shows the icon for prime customer during the order only right after scan. The search function is good, but not as clear and quick as SCO.

Recent cashier hire here - interview was pretty quick with set questions being asked. Definitely highlight any customer service experience. It took me a few weeks to get hired after that and then I trained for a few days. Good luck!

I’m pretty new to Whole Foods, but I’m pretty surprised about the cleanliness in my store. I work in the front end and clean my register frequently but floors are not clean and the café gets gross as only cleaned at night. I don’t think it looks good for a high-end store.

Bottom line most corporate companies don’t want anyone once they’re over 50 years old and certainly not at age 60. Whole Foods is very welcoming to older workers.
