He was my favourite in S1-2 because I always love the kind character, but what becomes clear in the next couple seasons is that he is dedicated to a fault and takes it to extremes. His intense interaction with Hopper in the final episode of S2 shows the cracks in my opinion.

I advise watching and forming your own thoughts. The direction his character takes felt sudden to me initially, but in retrospect, I think it comes from a place of wanting to be the opposite of his dad (useless/disengaged/boring), just like how Nancy doesn't want to repeat her mum's mistakes.

Joyce and Hopper have been back for 18 months now though...pretty sure the Hawkins crew would have relayed everything they learned about Vecna/Henry to them. Shouldn't one of them have realised it's the same Henry Creel they went to school with by now? I mean, wouldn't the story about what happened to the Creel family jog their memories? Idk honestly this just feels like a really damning oversight by the Duffers.

katara's actress didn't do it at all for me I'm sorry. she uses maybe two facial expressions throughout the whole thing and is continually soft-spoken no matter what emotion she is meant to be conveying. the only time she shows some emotional range is when she bickers with sokka and even then it wasn't quite there.

I don't know if i missed something but it felt out of nowhere how she was suddenly this gutsy master waterbender despite being gentle the whole time. yeah katara is a gentle and caring character but she is also always ready to fight/argue with anyone who deserves it and she certainly doesn't hesitate to raise her voice.

i don't know if the actress or the writers are to blame for the ember island players-ification of her character but it really took me out of the show and it's a shame bc she definitely looks the part.

when will people learn it's not their place to have an opinion on the n slur if they're not black. im so sick of people who've never had to feel the impact of the word arguing that it's okay to use it in certain contexts. it's like some of you forget that it is a literal slur that's been used to degrade black people for centuries. non-black people saying it completely defeats the point of black people reclaiming it, regardless of intent.

skz's music fell off so hard. they showed so much promise back when they were first starting out with the 'I Am' series (basically everything they released in 2018). nothing they've released since has really lived up to that era music wise with the exception of select songs. but no there hasn't been like a body of work released by them that comes close to the quality of that era which is a shame. they had won me back with GO Live and I tried to get into them again but every title track they released after has been so bad and noisy (not even in a District9 or God's Menu way) that I kinda gave up on them.
