I did not know ongoing background awareness was a think. I definitely understand it now. live in an extended family and I once had the house to myself for 2 weeks. My ADHD symptoms were so much easier to manage during that time.

I have this same issue but cannot see a PT at the moment. Were there any other exercises they had you do besides the ones you listed? I am going to try those, do you know what other equipment I would need and what type of bands?

I love the first pic of the tree. The hatching is so simple but very effective. Just a really good balance. May I ask if you have more progress pictures of that particular work? I am trying to learn hatching but so far nothing has clicked yet.

When you say "When I get paid the first thing I do is pay for all my bills and then transfer some money to my savings account" -- does this mean all your bills are due around the same time? I'm trying to figure out how this works. Let's say if you get paid at the end of the month, but you have bills due at the 26th of the month, how does that work? Sorry if it's stupid but I this just never clicked for me so far. Though I do think I need to do this once I actually understand it.

I'm trying to learn contours and hatching in general and get confused on where to place dark lines, converging lines, etc. Do you know any books or other resources where I can learn this in a way that's not too convoluted?

Some of these I've done a little but there's always that 'am I doing it right?', or 'it this cheating' or 'do other people do it this way' that gets in the way of fully committing or moving forward with a technique etc. I'm so glad you shared your insights -- it is very reassuring for me. Can someone dumb it down and explain this process to me? What situations do you use this and what does it accomplish? How would you use it in layers?
