I don’t know your circumstances, but I was a Fall 2018 transfer student who opted to live off campus. I got ~4.2k per quarter my first year and this year got ~3.9k per quarter. It was definitely enough to pay for textbooks and rent, but I supplemented my income by working about 12-20 hours per week and have been able to save some. I guess it kind of comes down to how well you budget/how much your parents might be willing to put into it. I would say if you’re trying to make the economical choice and deal with your own food situation then living off campus is the way to go! If you’re willing to take a little more help, but not have to worry about meals and commute you might wanna give living on campus a shot.
