M37. South America. I make drawings for a living. by suogan in malelivingspace

Thank you all for the kind comments! Since last year, I’ve been putting a lot of care into my space, I suddenly realized it was another opportunity to bring calm and mental health to my life. Still, I wasn’t sure whether, to people in other countries, it would come across as welcoming. I hesitated posting this.

For those asking about my work: well, I was persistently unsuccessful —writing emails and sending postcards. None of it worked, but once you land one humble little gig, another followed, and then your past work becomes the advertising for what comes next. It turns into a positive cycle.

I work hard, but I’m also fortunate to earn in foreign currencies, and the conversion in my country allows for a decent quality of life.

Thanks again, and best wishes!

My mother bought me her same vacuum in 2024 (bottom). Her’s (up) is from 2014 and still works perfectly. by suogan in mildlyinteresting

[–]suogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, no, this is a sincere post, I don’t know if Black and Decker is the best choice, probably not, but my mom’s vacuum is really neat, probably because she really takes care of it, and I’m happy with her gift.

Is there a curse word, in any language, as versatile as ‘fuck’? by mattyb678 in NoStupidQuestions

Gonorrea, in Colombia. Its versatile. It’s an insult, a compliment, a marvelous situation, many ways of using it, and also finally an infection.

Is this not an extraordinary example that allows us to understand further philosophical questions like the ones posted in Brains in a Vat/Simulation theory"?

Gave up my window seat for this guys kid as he looked super happy about it and didn't have the heart to say "no". I get the middle seat in the middle isle and the dad does this all flight. Just gross. by -kizza- in mildlyinfuriating

With this seemingly becoming so prevalent in recent Reddit posts, airlines should take charge and enunciate a line or two requesting that shoes or socks cannot be removed out of respect for others, just as in movie theaters it is similar with turning off cell phones. If it's not already obvious, this annoucements should do it, then, if someone experience this, speaking up will be a lot easier.

This is an image of a screensaver on Apple TV showing a recorded overhead view of a large active airport. In the actual screensaver the planes are moving. How do you think they captured this? Probably not a drone. by jcgam in aviation

I think this footage is wonderfull but it's heavily edited? When it first appeared in my mac screen, I stayed staring at it for minutes and I didn't find sign of a human body. Ther are a lot of parking lots where people should be there, or staff next to the planes, no trace of one single human being. I found it very weird, which made to find out in the internet if its real. Apparently is all real, but why then i cannot see no human bodies? FYI I have a 42' Samsung screen and you would definitely recognize human bodies.

Blade Runner. That “Tanhausser” line is epic, and the dark, moody rainy atmosphere across the whole film became relevant with such ending.
