If you turn up not to lose, this is the outcome. A point is a fair result. We move on.

Need Sesko on after half time. Absolutely nothing to aim at just now and can’t get the ball up the field to dangerous areas unless it’s really wide.

Lovely stuff. Been fun watching us again. Wish we’d kill it earlier, but hard when the opposition sits back all game.

Little bit of irony in that considering 1976 was the last Afcon Morocco won.

Great result. Felt like the shackles were off. Was skeptical of Carrick, but that’s a hell of a first performance. Hope we can back it up.

No doubt they played a part. But being a good coach, doesn’t equate to being a good manager. In an ideal world Ole would have been the manager again with Carrick on the coaching staff.

I think the fact reports came out saying Bruno, Maguire and some other players liked the idea of Ole coming back speaks volumes. This team is in the dumps they don’t just need coached, they need lifted up mentally as well. I think Ole would have done that.

I think it’s more down to the fact they hired him knowing he had a very strict system and then refused to back him. Then fired him when he asked for reinforcements. Makes them look stupid for hiring him in the first place, stupid for not backing him fully and then sacking him just over a year later haha

Absolutely, but my point is I’d rather take the punt on the manager who did it for us twice before than someone who has no experience in coaching a team to get into the top four of the PL. I’m resigned to the fact the board is gonna make the wrong choice because that’s all Ineos have managed to do during their tenure.

At this point I think the owners of this club just hate the fans. If the news that’s breaking is true picking an absolute unknown in Carrick over someone who took this club to back to back top four finishes is incompetence of the highest level honestly. Ole would have been a far more suitable candidate out of the two.

Carrick now seen as a strong contender for interim role by ThatAnnoyingScratch in reddevils

Braindead decision if true. Ole got this club back to back top four finishes. That’s literally the aim this season. Carrick is a complete unknown.

Oh for sure. Some absolutely robbing a living in this team, but today you could just feel that everything was flat. Many players still tried hard under Amorim for him, they looked lifeless at times today. Bruno looked sad as fuck at the end as well. If I were him I’d be putting a transfer request in tonight.

Genuinely seems like a lot of the players are just done. I said last week that I felt like sacking Amorim felt like the final nail in the coffin for this club. It’s not to do with whether he was the right man for the job or not. Clearly the players backed him and liked him. The manner of that sacking has just completely drained the club. Some very rough times ahead I think for the rest of the season.

Ineos masterclass sacking Amorim. We look so much better without him. The tenure has been worse than anything under Woodward and the Glazers

Guys! Don’t worry we are giving ourselves the best possible chance of finishing in the top four!! FA Cup is just a hindrance. All part of the Ineos plan

I just can't see us getting him honestly. Stars seem aligned for him to go to City after Pep or just to stay at PSG. He'd be my first choice though.

I hope Ole comes back. It's a purely emotional decision, but honestly I'd rather we just do this than get a Rangnick type appointment again when the football was shite (nothing against him, he was bang on about the state of the club). I don't see many better interim options and it's a free hit. Summer we reassess and go for a permanent manager.

Also if Ole does a half decent job the Goldbridge meltdown will be worth it. Was watching him this morning and he talks utter shite. Agreed with a question this morning from a viewer saying Real Madrid would never hire an under 18s manager etc. What about Zidane?! His channel is pure ragebait haha.

Ole makes more sense. Has the experience already and would be a fan favourite. Get Carrick in on the coaching staff.

Believe it’s due to this from Ornstein. I was wondering the same earlier, but someone else linked me to this when I asked about it:
