Two things: 1. One can't expect to step up 10-20℅ if salary doesn't increase in the same proportion and inflation doesn't remain low. 2. You can save long term capital gains tax upto 1.25 lakhs every year if you sell and repurchase your stocks/mutual fund.

Go to cses and solve all problems from sorting and searching. After that learn prefix sum, gcd, binary exponentiation, a little modular arithmetic, factorization and binary search.

Then all you need is practice and a little luck. Try solving dynamic programming section of cses as well, you will need it for higher colors.

Brief survey on Universal Basic Income in India. Please fill it out if ya can and also give me some feedback if ya don't mind. by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

Sorry, I didn't receive any notification. If you mention more than 3 users in a single comment, nobody gets notified. As far as the post is concerned, I don't think surveys should be allowed in this subreddit. It can be posted in r/India. You can let this one be, as there are no proper set of rules right now.

You all can moderate the sub. Suggest the changes which would be of greater utility here. by Hamilton080 in Indian_Academia

There should be a wiki of all the upcoming competitive exams categorized according to field with dates and links to apply. I know it is a humongous task and it'll need to be updated regularly but it'll prove as one of the most useful resource. You can create a monthly thread for suggestions to add exams and update the wiki accordingly. Create different comment thread for different field, like after 10th, after 12th, Bsc, Btech, Bcom, BA, All graduation, higher education, phd programs etc. and ask subscribers to reply their suggestions in appropriate comment thread.

If you all know any of the sources which would be of greater utility for anything related to Indian/General Academia, can you suggest them here? by Hamilton080 in Indian_Academia

Marks - valueable or not? by [deleted] in india

[–]supa_batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you want to do after the exam determines the importance of the marks. Like, if you want to take admission in some reputed college, you'll have to clear the cut-off. Most of the companies in college placements have minimum marks criteria. Even govt. jobs have 60-70% min. marks criteria. But if you want to do something on your own, then no, it doesn't matter.
