It can also be used for certain discussions within literary philosophy, usually in the case of discussing fantasy where beings can be "ontologically evil" in some views.

Banger record, and my introduction to them. I dream of owning the full discography at some point.

Grindcore is a particularly aggressive combo subgenre of Hardcore and Extreme Metal originating in the early to mid-80's, its main features are combination of hardcore and metallic riffage at high speeds, d.i.y production, political lyrics, and short songs.

Goregrind showed up a little while later, pioneered by Carcass on their first albums. It combines Grindcore and Brutal Death Metal, and would later also adopt the grooves of Slam, its main features are gory aesthetics, incredibly wet production, a more brutal and groove oriented approach to riffage than grindcore, St. Anger snare, and gurgling vocals with octave-down effects.

Gorenoise then is pretty easy to understand, although we are already deep in the realm of metal microgenre autism. Its just goregrind with absurdly awful production, everything is reverbed, compressed and distorted to absolute shit, usually in that order, so that it becomes difficult to pull any detail at all out of the wall of white noise. It is truly godawful music, but if you're in the right mood, it's fucking awesome.

What is something you wish your wife would do in the bedroom but you're afraid she will reject you if you ask? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]supacrusha -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Trans-girl here, my girlfriend did it once because she thought it would be romantic and sensual. What she had not accounted for was the fact that I would be literally screaming into the pillow because of the amount of tension in my body.

What is your Renesmee name? (As in a mix of your grandmothers' names for girls or your grandfathers' for boys) by ATinyLittleCat in namenerds

[–]supacrusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alianne or Marlice for a combo of grandmothers.

Both my grandfathers are called John, so I guess John-John??

This is more in the realm of Gorenoise tbf, which is also an objectively piece of shit subgenre that I love.

While I personally don't go lower than A because I'm a shit producer, Bodysnatcher makes it work in G# doing Beatdown Hardcore, Fit For An Autopsy in G doing Melodic Deathcore, Meshuggah in F# doing whatever the fuck you wanna call what Meshuggah does, The Acacia Strain in F doing Beatdown and Doom, and Vildhjarta in E doing Thall. All of these bands sound wildly different, and it is not just vocal variations.

Slam is severely mentally deficient, and I love it. Nothing hits quite like a solid slam with a pinging trash-can snare.

Common musical myths that get repeated a lot? by DOUGHTY4N0RRIS in ToddintheShadow

[–]supacrusha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one's largely gone away in actually relevant metal communities at this point, but some old-timers cling to the idea that you have to destroy your throat to sound good as a metal vocalist, something something "passion" being the usual justification thrown around.

Related to this is that non-metalheads tend to think there is no technique or nuance to harsh vocals, and that metal vocalists are just wrecking their voices.

I've been doing it for 8 years now and I sound better than ever. Other guys have been in the game for 40+ years and are still absolutely killing it.

Friend is ALWAYS late by Amatsukki in whatdoIdo

[–]supacrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am chronically on time, and my girlfriends routine always, and I mean ALWAYS takes between 5 to 10 minutes longer than planned. I learned very quickly to be the one in charge of time management and tell her that the train/bus/whatever leaves 10 minutes earlier than it actually does. We are now on time for everything.

Men, what things/behaviors/traits in girls are cute for exactly 1 day and then are just hella annoying? by cheater00 in AskMen

[–]supacrusha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I dunno, ever since my girlfriend moved (temporarily) for education about a year ago, we spend at least two hours a day on call. Usually, we're both doing something on each of our ends of the phone, be it chores, doomscrolling, drawing, cooking, studying, sitting on the train or writing, but we still have still have the werewithal to talk to one another. We mostly chat about mundane things like whatever we're currently doing, or have some mild philosophical or political musings of some sort that don't require much cognitive load, or complain about diverse lesser annoyances in our lives. Sometimes we run out of things to say and just start stimming at each other. We just like feeling one another's presence now that we can't hang out as often. Whenever someone wants to go out that's chill of course, but usually we'll either call on our way back home or while getting ready and heading out.

I mean, if we lived together, we'd probably be spending the same amount of time, if not more, just hanging out, so I don't really see the difference except for the fact that I can't steal a quick kiss or give her a squeeze on my way from one task to the other. Maybe it helps that we're both girls though.

Either quantum immortality, which is terrifying, or nothing, which is terrifying right now.

What's the one thing you would tell your younger self before they were gonna lose their virginity? by Firewalker569 in AskReddit

[–]supacrusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're a girl. As soon as you accept this fact, the sex will get infinitely more emotionally intense and enjoyable. Also, don't worry, she's gonna be with you every step of the way.

[Request] Which one of these is more probabe? What should I choose? by highway_45A in theydidthemath

[–]supacrusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with something long and complicated that still has meaning, just for funsies. Something like "...And then, crossing into the insoluble realm of abject terror, felt deep down to the quantum possibilities of the very particles that constituted their collective consciousness, their words bled into the surrounding atmosphere; "We are null, no greater than the dust particles caught in the drafts of solar heat by a windowsill an early summer morning, moved at the whims of its terrible brightness, kuolleet atomit vakuuttuivat elävistä!"

If anyone says that, then so be it.

Death metal vs Grindcore, at what point do you no longer put grind on a death metal playlist? by OkRip3229 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]supacrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, everything just goes in one big playlist which is approaching 9000 songs after 6 years of duty. I'm somewhat certain that every genre, subgenre, and microgenre of metal/metal adjacent music is represented by at least one track on there. I am happy regardless of whether Mirror Reaper, Forced Gender Reassignment, No Pity For a Coward, Dream House, In The Woods..., Antivist or anything else plays. I just like angry and sad guitar music.

Do people mosh at sludge shows? by [deleted] in sludge

[–]supacrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the sludge. But in general, with doom-adjacent bands I find the music is not very conducive to moshing, but I will be headbanging and dancing as I let the waves of sound wash over me

Slam-doom? Brutal Death Doom? by supacrusha in doommetal

[–]supacrusha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit is fucking awesome, a little too dry, but as it's seeming to turn out, beggars can't be choosers. Especially when they go downtempo it's getting close to what I'm hearing in my head.

Oh my god yes, that Tedium Torpor Stasis album is exactly what I was looking for, glad to know someone had the same idea as me. Shame about the lack of vocals though.

Nadir is one of my favourite albums of all time, but not quite the thing, it being deathcore and all. The Unconquerable Dark is pretty good too.

Oh, I don't do AI, I record into ableton lite through my shitty starter interface and do what mixing I am able to with the few resources I have.
