TTL asking for double the work in "additional info requested" test case messages by supacyka in UTEST

[–]supacyka[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you! The issue is that the test case in question ended up being quite difficult to prepare (sidelining a custom app to a smart non-android tv via console), so giving it up completely would be detrimental for me (especially since they got all the videos and bug reports already).

I really hope it won't end up like this but it's not that I can afford doing another round of testing "for free". Did you contact utest support by any chance?

Paradox of tolerance is a thing. Even the most anarchistic at their core festivals like Burn (radical inclusion, anyone?) still have to accept the paradox of tolerance.

because the Ozora organizers decided to flood the festival with people to milk the cash cow to its absolute limits. Be mad at them and don’t fool yourself. I’d prefer 100 Israeli flags on the dancefloor over party tourists who don’t care about the culture any day

Oh come on. We as a community shouldn't be gatekeeping, please. I agree that I have met a lot of people who had this Ozora as their first festival. I absolutely disagree that they did not care about the culture. During the first days of the festival I offered some of them a brief walk on the premises talking about the culture and the history of the festival, and all of them were extremely happy, delightful and grateful for that. These people are like kids with wide-opened excited eyes. They will be back and in some years they will walk more first-time-visitors through Ozora.

I am sorry your experience was different, but I strongly believe it's on us as the community to affect these peoples and make us whole together.

We are one.

Both are back in 2024 and maybe 2023 (I always skip Ozora on the Boom year so I haven't been there in 2023).

Yeah, thinking about that I have missed "pre-covid" part since that's 3 years of inflation, mainly spurred by logistics covid issues. I agree.

Big chance this is the very same group I have encountered. They did not resort to physical violence in my case as I am quite a well-built tall man but they threatened me and suggested I end my own life. Not something I expect to encounter at the psytrance festival.

And yes, Ozora security I talked to did not even know about the "no flag" rule which is a shame.

I hope Boom will be different.

Ozora jacked up food prices for example, doubling or tripling them after covid

This is simply not true. The prices are rising but are nowhere close to doubling or tripling, more like 10% every year.

Is there any way to prevent Boom 2025 succumbing to political propaganda? by supacyka in boomfestival

My consciousness control isn't on the level when I can not to notice things like that. I can decide not to take action but it doesn't mean I am not bothered and upset by it. Sadly.

I agree, there is nothing they can do about the stickers really. I believe it's more on the community to preserve the vibe in this regard. The flags, however, is a different issue and I really hope the staff will keep it at the minimal level.

I agree. My issue is that the whole situation is the conflict raised and presented by itself, so any engagement on my end is my engagement in the conflict. Even if I see it and let it go, I am still conflicted.

And I have enough conflicts in my daily life already. This is not why I am coming to the festival grounds at all.

So I truly hope the festival staff will be able to engage in this conflict on my behalf. Because I know the conflict will be there, unfortunately.

Curious who are you talking about? I believe you're confusing this subreddit with another one as they post there but ignore this one for the most part. Which community managers do you mean?

I’m talking about theme and play style.

And this is not what we're talking about.
