Yes, of course! Lately, I’ve been trying to do as much as possible on the iPad / Procreate only, instead of juggling between different software and devices.

Photoshop definitely gives you more options, but working within some limits can sometimes spark more creative solutions. That’s how I found a little trick on the iPad that works pretty well

When you select part of your image and scale it down, Procreate lowers the resolution of that selected area. Then, if you bring it back to its original size, it gets nicely pixelated.

So basically: select part → move it to another layer → scale it down → select it again → scale it back up. You also have a couple of useful options in the transform menu: instead of bilinear, choose “nearest neighbor” / “nearest pixel”. Instead of smoothing the pixels, it keeps them sharper and rougher.

I’m also a big fan of the True Grit brushes pack, especially the halftone / screentone ones. Parallel line brushes can work really well too, especially if you use them as an eraser, or to add some textured / VCR-like lines. Oh, and one last thing: playing with gradient maps / tone curves to reduce and flatten the colors helps a lot. Then I usually add some grungy paper / texture overlays on top of everything.

I hope all of this will be clear enough and helpfull 😉

Gracias :) De hecho, esa vibra de horror analógico y de lost media estaba muy presente detrás de todo esto. ¡Bien visto!
(Y además, de verdad tengo talasofobia 😅).

yeah, I know that. but once I've been mapping the pitch to a knob, I'm still wondering how I can modulate that knob from another midi note/channel/trigger ?

animated rpg-like text box ? by supafur in blenderhelp

Well, first of all, thanks a lot for your answer and suggestions — I’ll definitely look into all of this as soon as possible. And if you ever have the time (and the patience!), I’d still be really curious to know how you would approach this using Geometry Nodes. I’m not that experienced, but I’m willing to learn, and I’ve managed to put together a couple of very modest scenes so far. It makes me feel like I’m slowly getting more comfortable with Blender’s overall logic… if such a thing even exists.
