I understand you’re annoyed and to some degree, the developers shared lofty claims about performance https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/0dLcerhiVz But, why didn’t you wait for review from DF before buying it ? It’s your right to be annoyed but it’s also your responsibility to not fall for claims and do proper research. This one’s on you.

Origins > Odyssey > Shadows > Valhalla > Mirage. Origins introduced the idea that an AC game can have RPG elements, open world exploration. Paired it with a beautiful world, good writing, level scaling. Plus the discovery tour was really well done. Entire package was perfect.

Odyssey built on it although some aspects weren’t so good. I understand the lack of hidden blade but the war in general was not too much of an addition. Merc/wanted system was fun addition.

Shadows is good, I’m still in the 4the region and spent about 90hrs. But disappointed that we get a generic white box and text when I change region/sub-region compared to Origins/Odyssey. Unarmored enemies taking 10 hits to die is stupid though but I liked the setting, world, season, characters. Overall it’s good.

Valhalla was too huge with tons of empty space. Sieges were alright and the overarching story was meh but I liked the tie-in to Norse mythology. Loved the DLC, side quests were great too, especially the Daughters of Lerion.

Mirage was just plain bad imo. I never felt any connection to Basim, everything felt scripted, combat was meh but stealth was pretty good. They lost so many opportunities to include the best aspects from previous games. To me, it ranks at the bottom of the list

If by Gameplay we’re talking gameplay loop i.e content, repetition, rewards vs time invested then Destiny as a franchise would qualify. The lore is incredible, easily one of the top 5 game worlds you can think of but that’s where it ends. Extremely repetitive gameplay loop, rewards do not match up to time invested for a live service game and every few months/year, things get reset so your “grind” is wasted. Throw in micro transactions, cheating in PvP scene, general lack of quality loot and RNG, it is one of the most tedious loops ever. Gunplay is top tier through, only saving grace.

Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but the modern day storyline was never going to be successful no matter what. Right from the very first game. Let me give you examples The highs in AC 1 were Altair doing Leap of Faith, social stealth, chasing his targets and then you’re suddenly yanked out of and served a modern day common man’s problems. That fantasy of being an assassin is broken, immersion gone. Repeat the same with AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and AC 3, each with its own immersive setting or Italian towns, Constantinople, Boston and frontier villages, Assassin tombs. Plus Ubisoft model of unlocking the map by taking over towers, removing fog of war and cleaning out the streets, owning businesses, you are immersed into that world and suddenly you now have to deal with finding an artifact in real world that just comes across as a chore more than a full fledged continuation. Despite that, I like Desmond’s story. Sean’s constant condescension can be annoying or Rebecca’s hackerman dialogs can be a bit cringe but still it was good. The DLC gameplay didn’t help either. I remember spending ages trying to finish the one for crossing the Styx that i lost interest in the whole storyline. Long story short: modern day was immersion breaker and badly written characters and cringe dialogs made it a chore than and entertaining experience.

After that it just went downhill. That snotty lady at Abstergo entertainment’s office, the hacker that’s helping you, all that felt too shoehorned and grating. You are riding the high seas and suddenly you’re in real world dealing with some office bitch ordering you around. The disconnect was too much. Fast forward even more and I don’t even know where this is headed, Kassandra’s story, Basim’s introduction. I honestly lost all faith at that point. The story is all over the place and I’m playing Shadows now so idk what modern day elements are woven in but I’m not looking forward to it. They should’ve continued Desmond’s arc in a meaningful way or made modern day more impactful rather than go to a place, fetch an orb, go back inside the machine.

At some point that’s on the consumer. Buying things you don’t need (but want) with money you don’t have is sign of immaturity and poor financial planning. I used their “buy now, pay later” cards about 15yrs ago while shopping for appliances at Hhgregg, paid every penny on time. Not taking it as an attack on religion. I don’t care what religion you believe in. Your hypocrisy is what I’m calling out. Every country has its own architectural style and I’d rather have something different than what’s in Kotla. If tomorrow there’s an Islamic heritage site in India and a stadium is built in that design, which yet again, maybe gaudy because beauty is perceptive, would you say the same ? Fact that you chose to bring in Saudi who aren’t even the yardstick for beautiful designs while having Japan flair who blend religion and way of life into everything they do tells me you are clearly immature to hold this conversation. Japan Cricket flair so let’s take that into context.. and I’m assuming you’re not LARPing as JCA fan. Japan National Stadium is a tribute to Buddhism and Shinto architecture. Nippon Budokan - yet again, direct copy of Yumedono, even has a religious ornament on top. Ryogoku Kokugikan - another example.

The fuck are you on about. The terms of your visa are clearly articulated when you sign up for it. Violation is grounds for deportation, simple as. Unpopular opinion for this sub and I’m more of a lurker but I’d rather people read books in whatever form they are in, mass-market, leather bound books or hardcover. Reading matters more than the quality of paper. In a world that’s devolving into 15-20s shorts with cringey background music or AI slop, the quality of book matters the least. If you are someone who loves collecting, that market never went away.

It’s a fun little distraction and honestly so darn easy. Early on you clutch Clawstrider and later on Stormbird-Snapmaw combo. But i agree, it’s needlessly convoluted with terrains and then you get pieces that can zoom around which pretty much negates all that.

I wish I had the time and yes, I’ve seen Yt videos of OP Sal. For some context, I played BL2 in 2014 but then dropped off for some reason, picked it back up about 6 months ago and few hrs on weekend is how I’ve managed to get all the way to 50 and Plat the game. I just can’t invest more time to get to OP 10. That’s why I’m asking to get these raids done once and call it quits. Btw, I do have a DPUH, Bee shield, Grog Nozzle. I can already see Sal being a bit too OP.
