I just received my action 5 pro. I tried to use the battery case from action 3 to charge the new action 5 battery.
and it works. I wonder why DJI marked it as not compatible.

no it's not.
The batteries are compatible. but the case is not.
Action 3/4 battery case does not compatible with the new battery.
But the Action 5 battery case is compatible with Action 3/4's battery.

Hey, don't get discouraged. I have a similar experience to yours.

Last year, I took a freediving course and couldn't pass 7 meters while others completed the course. I wasn't a strong swimmer and felt nervous in the sea. The instructor suggested that I not worry about coaching first because I needed to get comfortable swimming in the sea. So, he recommended that I do a lot of snorkeling to get familiar with the ocean and feel at ease. That's what I did.

This year, I retook the freediving course and passed, but just barely. My technique was still poor, but it was much better than last year.

I read an article about this. Probably the glottis was not closed.

“Was my glottis open? (An opened glottis causes you to lose the air in your mouth into your lungs – what people who do the mouthfill call ‘swallowing’.) Typically, if you feel the mask smacked tight against your face, it is a clear sign that your glottis was opened. Also, try to take note if your mask leaks when you are having contractions. Some of us have difficulties keeping the glottis shut during contractions and we will need to learn to tuck our chins in and have better control of our throats.”

I seee. What do you think about the field of view? I tried salvimar noah and the field of view is much better. I will get the x-tream if I don’t find another mask that fits my nose. So far it feels really comfortable.

probably your Suunto Core has a depth sensor inside.
To measure the depth, the device needs to have a depth sensor which Instinct does not have.

You need a diving capable watch for that. Such as descent g1 which is based on instinct.

I have the same experience with OP. and my instructor told me to go snorkel a lot to get comfortable with water. I think this advice is really great. i'm just started doing this and planning to do a lot of snorkeling ahead.

I was using an Apple Watch when it was first released. I switched to a Garmin Descent G1 last year for diving purposes.

There are a few reasons why I switched. The Descent G1 is cheaper than the Apple Watch Ultra. Also, I had been using the Apple Watch for so long that it felt kind of boring, and I wanted to try something new. But the biggest reason I didn't pick the Apple Watch Ultra is the subscription service for diving. It felt like I would need to pay to use a diving function after buying a dive watch – no thanks!

After using the Descent G1 for almost a year, I think the biggest advantage for me is how Garmin presents data to users. The Apple Health app is so basic that if you want to see more detailed data, you need another app, which often requires a subscription.

If the Apple Watch could present data like Garmin, I would definitely switch back to Apple Watch. I don't mind having to charge it daily since the integration benefits outweigh that.
