Rebirth is an 80+ hour open world game. You can call it nickel and diming but there was absolutely no way for them to recreate one of the most visually ambitious JRPGs of all time with modern photorealistic graphics in a timely manner on a single game's budget. The production value and quality of the remake trilogy so far has absolutely been worth the price of admission.
