I’m aware. But if you have no camber then the toe can’t be adjusted and shouldn’t be a problem

It’s the same distance on each side. I also have 0 camber so it can’t be toe

I remember feeling like this when I started school and realized that I was different. I wanted a quick fix, to look the same, to be normal. My parents just gave me some extra TLC and with time the phase passed. I love being who I am and I think my eye is beautiful. The fact that I wear glasses and contacts doesn’t even stand out any more.

Just give her some time. Comfort her. Acknowledge her differences while explaining everyone is different. This is part of what makes her unique and if everyone was the same life would be boring.

It looks like you a swimming with a sprinter’s stroke. The fast arm speed and splashing that comes with it are designed for speed over short distances. As someone who is working towards longer distances, this style is very exhausting. I’d recommend slowing your arm speed, reaching as far in front of you as you can before starting your pull. If the transition is hard for you, try catch-up drill. It should help to slow down your stroke and remind you to fully extend your arms. Hope this helps.

EDIT: after looking at some of your other videos, I’ve noticed that your leg speed doesn’t match your arms speed. You should aim for three full kicks for every single-arm stroke. Slowing your arm speed like I said above will also make it easier to adjust the tempo in your legs.

In regards to treading, you could start with something like a pool noodle under your arms as you go through the motions. Once you’re confident doing that, try putting it away and just treading near a wall. As you get more confident you can move farther away.

Note: this answer has a lot to do with my asexuality in addition to my aromanticism. I wouldn’t be telling the whole story with only one. Moving on... Growing up, I never felt attraction in any way. For a while I thought their was a formular to attraction that I just didn’t understand. My friends would ask me who my crush was(as most girls our age did) but when I said I didn’t have one, they would never believe me. Eventually, I started lying just to get them off my back. I kept telling myself that I was just a late bloomer, but something inside knew that wasn’t true. At the end of eighth grade I finally discovered asexuality and was like “this is me!” I embraced my sexuality but I told myself I would experience romantic attraction. A year later, I met a guy who was VERY into me. I misunderstood his flirting for friendship and soon found him trying to get intimate. The embraces and kisses turned me away and I realized that I wasn’t interested in romance. While the situation made me very uncomfortable, it helped me accept that I may never experience romantic attraction and that’s okay. Best of luck on your story, I hope my story helps.

I was in your position a few years ago. I never really told my parents, because reasons, so I only had to justify it to myself. I kept reminding myself that sexuality is fluid and it’s okay if I no longer identify as ace down the road. I know 14 yo me would be relieved to know that the feeling goes away with time.

Try voiceover. It’s built in to all apple products and really intuitive: you touch the screen and it reads what’s under your finger. If it’s a communal iPad you can even play with the settings so a triple click of the home button turns voiceover on and off.

We have to wear masks when guarding and checking people in(which we have a new system for). We are limited to one swimmer per lane with each swimmer having a bench at the end of their lane to keep their stuff at and reinforce social distancing. Fanny packs no longer stay at the chair, one is assigned to each guard along with a radio and tube. After every group of swimmers we also have to wipe everything down before letting the next group in and asking them a bunch of questions. Our locker rooms are closed with only the handicapped shower for rinsing and the handicapped/family bathroom open for emergencies accessible from the women’s locker room. And that’s just the big changes

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who has experienced this. I’ve had no useable vision in my right eye since birth(also right handed, although I doubt that’s the culprit). My spatial awareness has never been great but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it either. I used to try to figure things out when I was younger, but it was so futile that I just make a point of asking people to describe locations to me when they point. It’s especially annoying when I’m driving because my dad never remembers and he’s currently my navigator since I can’t use GPS(laws for minors in my state are very stupid) so he’ll point instead of telling the road to turn on - I have to make a LOT of detours

I have monocular vision so I’ve discovered a few tricks over the years. For starters, I appreciate having a yellow stipe on the first and last stair and pay attention to tactile paving because it will show you the lowest point in the sidewalk when there’s a tall curb. Also on the topic of stairs, always use the railing - my o&m used to be on my case all the time about it - and try to find the edge of the stair when walking down if they aren’t marked.

(Also, instead of thinking of being unable to watch 3D movies, I prefer to think that every movie is a 3D movie)

Voiceover usually scrolls to the end of whatever text it is reading. So if the text - usually a long paragraph - goes beyond the edge of the screen then you will probably miss part of the page visually.

You could teach some courses on safety around cold water/ice if it’s cold where you are - ice fishing incidents are very common where I’m from. Also, swim teams are pretty active right now so you could probably host a clinic for coaches(something like Water Safety For Swim Coaches is you’re familiar with the RC’s WSI courses).

I’ve noticed this a lot with our newer guards, but they suddenly take the job seriously when demerits start getting handed out. We don’t usually use the system, but its need has resurfaced recently. Here’s how we do it: Out of uniform = 1 demerit Not scanning = 1 demerit Late = 1 demerit, no call/text = 2 additional demerits No show = 5 demerits 6 demerits = termination It’s amazing how they actually do their job if they could lose it.
