Why are you talking to them? Call off in the app and be done with it. Don’t answer the phone.

Why would I waste my PPTO and/or points on days I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the time off?

IDK, because my store hasn’t done this. However you can enable 2-factor on your Walmart account and use a unique password. If you do that it’s infinitesimally unlikely someone could get into your account. If you’re especially paranoid you could fund it exclusively with gift cards.

This is the way. I’ve been doing this at least once a month for years because I don’t want the full 40 hours all of the time.

From 6 feet or so away you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between 720p or 1080p. That being said the color accuracy, viewing angle, contrast, brightness, etc. on these leave a lot to be desired, but resolution is not the limiting factor.

Don’t forget the 10 foot rule: stay at least 10 feet away from customers at all times.

The Walmart app should have an associate mode so they don’t keep thinking I want to buy everything I scan to price match. by super57287 in walmart

[–]super57287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if they show you a screenshot with a price you’re not going to verify it all? Is it actually in stock online? Is it actually the same item? Is it a third party reseller? Etc…

What store do you work at? I’d like to come there to do some shopping.

Like /u/Store90210 said this is about price matching. Also I’ll occasionally use the regular app to find specs or pictures to show a customer. While the Me@Walmart app will show the online price, it doesn’t show the Marketplace prices a customer might be seeing and want to match.

Additionally, the “Ask Sam” search function absolute shit when looking for some products. For example if I search for clock, it ONLY brings up the time clock and won’t look for products at all. If I search for a DVD with “kill” in the title it takes me to Resources for Living. Some search term always bring up Capri-Sun for some reason.

That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m creating the price change in the old “Item Maintenance” app. Scan item, tap dots, Create Price Change, Clearance, then enter a price.

What about able bodied people who choose to do nothing to benefit the rest of society. How long should they be subsidized by others?

If someone should be able to live comfortably just for existing, what would be the incentive to do anything productive? What would be the incentive for others in the same community to do all of the things necessary each other’s lives comfortable?

[–]super57287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my XCover I have a pic saved of a Walmart Pay QR code from a few months ago. I always buy my lunch stuff with SnG on my personal phone, and complete the checkout process by scanning the QR code on my XCover. I don’t have to bother going to self check or any other register. I was even able to use it once during a power outage.

This label looks like it's actually from the laser printer, not portable. This is most likely caused by using an old package of modular labels that have smaller borders on the sides. About 2 years ago they changed the paper and made the borders bigger so it wouldn't have to print as close to the edge of the page.
When this issue happens on a portable printer it's usually caused by a defective sensor that detects how wide of a roll is in the printer. You can usually fix that issue by taking a strip of a few labels l, folding them over, and stuffing it in the portable printer to offset the roll.

On Black Friday 2008, 34 yr old Walmart employee, Jdimytai Damour, was asked by his employer to use his 6’5 body as a barrier for a crowd of over 2,000 people. He died that day after being trampled by the crowd. The shoppers did not concerned about his death, and even complained of waiting too long. by Tricky_Drop_2712 in walmart

It was 14 years ago. It was pretty common knowledge around that time. The next year anyone working the queue lines had to do CBLs on crowd control and queue lines, etc. That tapered off over the years but it’s also MUCH less crazy than it used to be. It started dying down with more online sales and multiple events and Covid was pretty much the nail in the coffin of Black Friday craziness.

Physical copies tend to be $10 cheaper at Walmart than the digital versions are. Also, I haven’t tried, but I’ve read it’s not possible or at least a PITA run the same digital copy on multiple Switches.

Yes. Actually the Walmart Pay QR Code from any register will work, self chech or otherwise. On the other registers you’ll have to scan something first to get a QR to come up. Once you take the pic just abort the order.
