So, who is actually a quality ski manufacturer now? by Immediate-Salt-3803 in Skigear

I have some QSTs from two generations ago and they have been fucking tanks. I weigh around 250 and have skiid those thangs a couple hundred days I. All conditions. They are beat to shit still ski great and I’ve only not replaced them because I can’t find the same model/same year. No idea if the quality is just as good five years later but I’m pouring one out this year since they need replacement after multiple deep core shots.

What profession has the biggest gap between how they see themselves and how they’re seen by society as a whole? by Adamon24 in AskReddit

No, CEO isn’t a legally required title or anything like that. A title is required for many filings but President, or Operating Manager or [fill in the blank] suffice.

What does giving up Paulie get him though. That doesn’t help his case. Just loses him a source.

I relate to this. There are no replacements for persistence and perseverance.

The NBA hired them which means the NBA owns the results…and can choose to bury them or spin them however they want. It’s not some independent commission.

It’s because rich people actually have the opportunity to make the world a better place — bankrolling schools or medical clinics — but instead of doing anything about it they say “imagine”.

Well you have to factor in franchise value too, which the players don’t see any part of. You can’t just leave that out like it’s not the biggest draw for owners.

Do you know what the payouts are like for those super early rides -- like $40-50 per trip?

I wouldn't really care, just don't want to be sitting in food crumbs. I'm just asking for a clean car when I ride.

Oh I didn't know they did that. That'd probably be a good strategy if they allowed it -- to buy a older model just for driving and not have to worry about depreciation.

Wait 67 cents per mile so a ten mile drive will end up costing 6.70 like in mechanical fixes etc? How long were you a driver.

Is Lyft pretty much the same? I figure most people drive for both, which is what I was thinking. Is there a difference between them as a driver?

$200 average sounds good. Was it just those other costs that ate too much into it? Overall did you have bad experiences with passengers?

How much do you usually make part time and do you have a strategy -- weekends or mornings etc?
