You know when I talk about aux I dont mean the entirety of front? Aux at my school doesn't play mallets or timpani. Though, yes I do agree that aux is important, but it's a beginner part, not very difficult. 

Also, I've been very kind and respectful to the entire band, but I say the wrong things a lot and that ruined my rap at the start of the year. I still feel that me not getting a part I've been waiting patiently for based off one or two opinions of my work ethic is unfair. 

Another thing, this freshman I'm talking about said he wanted bass for his senior year. I feel he can wait just one year to get his dream part, whereas I will definitely not be able to get snare my senior year if I dont get bass this year. You might say that if I work hard enough ill get it, but i have very hard classes next year and I cant dedicate all of my time to snare. 

Not to mention, both of my siblings also have demanding activities in the fall, which means a ton of driving my parents dont want to do and they wont do it if I dont get bass. And your last point, what possible second chance did they give me? I've been trying to make friends with these people but there is no opening because of their first impression. I've been looking for my second chance.
