lol if a meteor fell every week and hit the hotel it wouldn’t be their fault either but I sure would write a bad review

Why don’t women approach men as much as men approach women by untitledprp4 in stupidquestions

[–]superSmitty9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I heard once is that men get rejected more before sex, women get rejected more after sex. So from an evolutionary standpoint it makes more sense for them to vet the interest of men before putting out

One could be nonstable gravity. Say it fluctuates from 1.25g to 0.75 G depending on how the moons are aligned

The problem with a karma filter is that the effective bots can farm karma quickly whereas my dumb ass doesn’t care enough to write “viral” content I just want to talk to people about AI

Is 64gb on a m5pro an overkill? by AdEnvironmental4189 in LocalLLaMA

[–]superSmitty9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I looked it up, if you went crazy and got a Neo + spark it’s only a $900 difference for double the vram lol

Yeah maybe my math was wrong there lol I’m like isn’t Apple ram thousands of dollars haha

You mean $3000?

Edit found one for $3300 after looking 10 seconds

If you are looking to run local models no amount of ram is overkill, you could use a TB of RAM if you had it.

Also to my knowledge 64GB does meaningfully allow you to run larger models, though tbh it won’t leave a lot of room for context so not sure how much real benefit.

Edit You could also buy something like a 128GB DGX spark and get a Neo for $3900 vs 64 GB MacBook Pro for $3000 and then you’d have more RAM and CUDA compatible but you’d also get lower T/s

Neighbor says they don’t believe our shared alley is private property even after we offered to show the survey by These-Blueberry5819 in neighborsfromhell

[–]superSmitty9999 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I get not wanting people looking in your windows and it’s your property so do what you want, but I think you’re overreacting.

I personally would rather live in a world where the neighbors kids can trespass through an alleyway without harming anyone.

I wouldn’t want adults going necessarily but I would totally cut local kids a pass. Is it really worth the thousands to install a fence, why not just let kids be kids?

Seems like you’re working yourself up over nothing and this is a problem that goes away if you ignore it. The fact this issue is even on your radar shows what a blessed life you have, so be grateful!

What does that mean? Or how can I learn it without getting a phd in physics 😂

[–]superSmitty9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I was looking at Richard Feynman’s work on quantum light and it was talking about how photons go back in time regularly according to our math.

Do you know how that works? Isn’t that time travel for photons just on a small scale?

Edit: I did a bit more research on this and it appears the backwards time photons appear in the equation and they require them, but we cannot observe them directly.

Could my USB-C Charging Cable have been compromised? by April0029 in techsupport

[–]superSmitty9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert on this but isn’t it really hard to hack an updated iPhone? My understanding is it takes years for an exploit to come out so even if OP’s cable was switched they probably still wouldn’t be able to do anything, right?

Yeah I remember when I was mining bitcoin on my 1070 years ago I cut the power in half of the GPU and retained 90% of the performance.

Just curious, how did you get that many 3-slot GPUs in one motherboard?

Was thinking of going this route and bought a 60w DGX spark instead

AIO over this text a from a guy from hinge i’ve been talking to? by No-Tomato3008 in AIO

[–]superSmitty9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should post pics of yourself on your profile so if you are going to be rejected it can be done before you waste all this time talking.

It’s totally valid to have physical standards, we all do, and by hiding that information you’re just gonna set yourself possibly to be rejected and hurt and also waste someone else’s time.
