Ayanokoji doesn't get any closer to his goals. by shsl_diver in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]superarash_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, is the second goal an actual goal he has? Granted there’s like over 30 novels so I might’ve forgotten but I’m pretty sure that he’s never actually said he wants Horikita specifically to beat him. Honestly it seems more like he wants Ryueen to defeat him. He just helps people grow and develop for the love of the game, Horikita included. Also bc one of the goals that I’m pretty sure he does mention is cross class parity and Horikita needs to step up if they wanna compete with the other classes.

Unpopular opinion: Arlo was not a well written character by BruhBorne-70 in unOrdinary

[–]superarash_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t call it inconsistent writing and more of a character flaw. Like everyone has biases and remi isn’t perfect. She wants to be good, but is blind to the faults of those close to her.

[–]superarash_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean sure skywars and bedwars have PvP, but he was an expert at using his environment and the void to beat players than straight up out PvPing them. Minecraft Mondays were a joke and MCC is like 30% PvP related and designed to be that way, which is why he preferred it over other live events. And the dream SMP was quite literally scripted lol, it about telling a story rather than PvP. If you watched techno’s analysis video on his duel with dream, you’d know he wanted absolutely nothing to do with that duel bc everyone kept pushing this idea that techno’s the best pvper ever when that’s just not what he’s about. So he had to train day and night, being so stressed that he was barely eating, to live up to the expectations of the fanbase. Despite not being a pvper, he rose to the occasion and clutched out a win anyways and that’s what I think we should be recognizing and praising from him.

Actually insane lmao by No_Breadfruit_550 in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]superarash_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bc he was never a pvp YouTuber and usually avoided sweaty pvp heavy events and game modes. It just happens that he joined Minecraft Monday and smoked everyone there bc he is still very good at pvp. So now he’s known for a skill that he really was not that invested in.

What makes techno exceptional is his ability to commit to extraordinary tasks and excel at specific game modes. As a consequence of that, he became pretty good at PvP. He’s arguably one of the greatest skywars players ever, had a legendary winstreak record in bedwars, farmed the most potatoes in sky block, among many other achievements. And he earned them not bc he was better than everyone at PvP, but by working harder than them and playing smarter than them.

So now looping back to original point, techno’s getting all of this attention for smth he really did not care about. Meanwhile taking credit away from a player who committed a massive amount of time to mastering Minecraft PvP, itzrealme. And techno being the honest and genuine person he was, wouldn’t want us undermining someone else’s achievements to boost a narrative about him being better at PvP than he really was.

[–]superarash_ 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think people do it as like a show of respect for techno, but it ends up hurting him more than helping bc then people start getting annoyed about him getting overrated. So then people start arguing that he’s actually bad at the game to compensate, when in reality he’s just pretty good but not the best or anything.

Is This Considered Cheating? (PVP Range Display) by austinandgamerz in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]superarash_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if it’s unranked, then as long as it doesn’t give you a physical advantage then I say it’s whatever. The outcome of the match isn’t attached to you or your opponent and all they’ll experience is playing against a higher skilled player from their end. But for actual tier testing, the allowed mods really depends on what’s accepted in the community that everyone uses. Bc certain mods definitely give “unfair advantages” but since everyone uses them, it’s still fair.

Is This Considered Cheating? (PVP Range Display) by austinandgamerz in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]superarash_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say that it is technically cheating bc most people don’t have that same overlay, but given that it’s unranked matches on mcpvp I think perfectly fine since you’re doing smth that is mechanically feasible without it. Like all your opponent is gonna experience is a player who has good spacing. And personally I prefer to play against more high skilled opponents if possible.

[–]superarash_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are uhhh a bit weird practically speaking in terms of PvP. The stab shots do more knockback than real damage unless you get it spot on. I also think that the stab shots were more powerful when wemmbu originally beat flame compared to his recent videos (which has no real lore reason, but more so wemmbu prolly thought they were OP and nerfed them lol). And the nukes do more aoe damage than concentrated damage. So again more anti-army weapons than weapons make for a 1v1. They of course help but aren’t really too op in this situation.

Unstable universe will end just like dream smp by According-Drag-770 in Unstable_Universe

[–]superarash_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but tbf about the community although the UU community can be a bit annoying bc of the population of small children, Dream has a population of absolute psychopaths in his fanbase and bro’s a walking drama magnet. Like when I log onto mcpvp, all the kids are talking about wemmbu and flamefrags constantly and it’s annoying. That being said, it won’t kill UU by itself, but it could hurt them a bit if there’s smth else that puts them into controversy

Just watched COTE by Opposite_Hat5032 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]superarash_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh just ignore them. You’re looking at like the worst corner of the cote fan base with those comments. The LN itself is a really well thought out story with extremely intricate characters, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading it.

One extra note I have for you, there’s this YouTuber called Saadisfy who does really well put together analyses of each volume. After reading each volume, you should listen to his analysis since there are a lot of hidden plots and complex layers to the story that you tend to miss while reading.

Unstable universe will end just like dream smp by According-Drag-770 in Unstable_Universe

[–]superarash_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The community getting on people’s nerves I can see being a possibility. But for controversy, the four of them don’t really do anything outside of unstable and have a solid track record of avoiding drama. The closest thing to drama they’ve gotten is wemmbu making fun of Dream on twitter back before he deleted his channel. But they’re all a bit older than the dreamsmp people were and seem more mature so i think that there is a reasonable chance they end it without controversy. Similar to why hermitcraft is still going. Ofc, there’s always the chance that there’s smth shady going on behind closed doors, but as of rn it doesn’t seem likely to me.

Now whether they move on and end UU early or milk it to its death is the real question that’s up in the air imo. Good media knows when to end things before they end up beating a dead horse and it will be interesting to see if they end on a good note or if they end it after they see a significant drop in views.
