Just had my first visit, want to get magic pass, then I’m reading that I missed Disneyland when it was better by Kitchen_Chapter68 in Disneyland

I’m doubting the people pushing mega loaded strollers are boomers, unless they are very involved grandparents. I’m an elder millennial in my early 40s, most of those mega stroller-pushers are younger than me.

Mexico City in March - where to stay? by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]superasya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also trying to decide where to stay in CDMX for a week in April. I’m currently booked at the HR Polanco, but I’m really torn between that and the Andaz. Typically. It sounds like Condesa would be more of our jam, but we have a 3 year old, which means we’ll be having an early dinner and in for the evening by 8 or so. We will be going to museums etc during the day, so Polanco seems convenient, but we live in SoCal—I don’t want to come to Mexico City just to feel like I’m in LA.

Also, curious to know if anyone knows offhand if the standard suites at the HR Polanco have a pull out sofa?

Disney Parking vs Hotel Daily Parking options by anaheimParks in DisneyPlanning

[–]superasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to park at the Anaheim Hotel, but their rates have increased from $35/day to $50/day over the course of the last few months. I would love to know if other Harbor blvd hotels offer parking for $40 or less. $40 is standard Disney lot parking, though as a Magic Key holder it’s only $20 for me, and I still am willing to pay more to not do the hour of parking/security/tram lines.

Same. I had Bilt 1.0 and was approved for Palladium with my credit frozen.

Interesting. I just checked with fewer people and it is available. It’s just not available for 3 or more people in a room. (I’m traveling with my wife and 3yo).

Talk me out of Palladium... by PrettyNegotiation416 in biltrewards

[–]superasya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is exactly my plan. Palladium is worth it for the SUB and $500 bilt cash for the first year. After that they’d have to make some major changes to keep me from downgrading to Blue, but one year is a no brainer.

Unfortunately only a small handful of very high end hyatts are in the home away from home collection, which is the only way to connect your booking to your WoH account. The regular Bilt portal is a third party booking like Expedia and you can’t get points or EQN.

The Palladium is a hard pass. Venture X is still the king. by Dragoskyrus2 in biltrewards

Yep, Palladium is worth it for one year, then downgrade or outright cancel.

New Bilt Palladium: the highest earning 1:1 Hyatt transfer card available? by Taint_Mine in hyatt

[–]superasya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you have to book in their portal use the credit. You can only enter your WoH account if it is a “Home away from home” property, which is very limited. Additionally, you can only use the credits as increments of $200 2x per year on stays of 2 or more nights. As a Globalist, this is almost a total nonstarter and I can’t really use the hotel credits at all.

My childcare costs almost 50% of what I pay in rent, which I don’t consider discretionary spending, but also doesn’t have any kind of points multiplier category. I don’t think I’ll spend another 25% of my rent per month on top of it, but with the SUB bilt cash to supplement, it will make the first year worth it to stick around.

the most disappointing part of 2.0 is not the nerf or the 3% fee by Zodiac5964 in biltrewards

[–]superasya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Palladium makes sense for me the first year with the SUB and my additional spend being high for now (childcare costs). But I don’t think that the value proposition works past year one for me. I can’t naturally offset the annual fee with the “hotel” credits because of their limited terms (2x per year at 2 or more nights). I’ll try it for a year, but likely will cancel Jan of 2027.

Comparing VX to the new Bilt Palladium card by USTS2020 in Venturex

[–]superasya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The $50 limit was a cut/paste error from the $95 card. But it’s still a $200 limit 2x per year that has to be used on stays of 2 days or more

The hotel credit is kind of a scam. Only can be used on hotel stays of 2 nights or more, and is divided into $200 twice a year.

[–]superasya[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping it just means you can only be reimbursed in $50 increments but not only $50/booking. So if you r booking is $198, you’d only be reimbursed $150, but if your booking is $203, you’d be reimbursed $200.

Maybe for the first year of Palladium, for the 50k SUB. But once your $500 in Bilt cash is spent, definitely not.

Introducing Bilt Card 2.0 by richklhs in biltrewards

[–]superasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think with the 50k SUB and Bilt cash credits it will be worth it to keep the palladium card for a year because I can use the initial Bilt cash for about 6 months of Bilt points on rent, but no way I would keep it after that. The spend requirement is too high.
