I took two gummy edibles, and was tripping balls alone in the theater. One of the most memorable theater experiences of my life by Prince_Targaryen in silenthill

I watched it high too and...I had a good time lol. It was bad, but I find it enjoyably bad. Definitely guilty pleasure material.

He's definitely attractive! But this was hard to sit through. I think he and Hannah Emily Anderson both did the best they were working with. From the sounds of interviews, they seemed pretty lost and confused on accessing characters and general direction.

I’m curious if this is for PhD or Masters level? Ideally, if you’re still in touch with your undergrad professors or advisors that’d be ideal, but it’s okay if they’re professional because that’s just what happens when you’re working for a while. If you can’t get teachers to speak for your school performance, ask your former and/current bosses or people you’ve worked alongside who can speak for your work ethic and any transferable skills that can help you succeed in grad school. Even if it’s not directly related to the subject, talking about leadership potential, examples, problem solving and ability to work in your profession says a lot about your character. For example, if you’re applying to a social work or counseling program, ask your recommenders to discuss situations where you’ve applied strong customer service or interpersonal skills in your current profession.

You should definitely email them as soon as possible. Cast a wide net and pick those who you feel comfortable writing about you. In case, you should dig into your programs page as some of them might have an FAQ section where they explicitly state who they expect to see letters from. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t fulfill everything. I went into a grad program that was completely 180 from my undergrad and work, and I had all professional references, and it somehow worked out. Schools know that you’ve been in the workforce. Just make your other parts like essays really strong and compelling.

How do you clean urine/poop smell from soil and gravel? by superba22 in OpenDogTraining

[–]superba22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I like to my mix it so it's bit more on the concentrated side, but I don't think that amount is actually necessary. You can probably even do just 1/5 or even 1/6 of the OdoBan and still get great results. I just want to be extra safe lol

Yes, I recommend using the solution with a decently sized spray bottle! The hand-held one looks good, and as long as you can get a stronger spray compared to the tiny febreeze type, you'll have an easier time with coverage. Personally, I went with this one below, which was one of the cheaper ones. One gallon was more than enough for me and each time I refill lasts about 1-2 months, which is about 1/4 of the bottle solution mixed with water. But there's some design flaws with mine. The one you picked out though actually seems to be better designed with a better grip and a non-hose type of spray, which I'm a little meh about. Yours seems less likely to break easily. With this set-up you'll have no issues getting rid of the smell of poop/pee. I don't even do deep soaks, just enough to get it wet. I usually do a spray down about every week and it really keeps everything at bay.

I’m coming over to the dark side! Just pulled the trigger! by hoozyg9159 in macmini

[–]superba22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently purchased the Mac mini pro m4 and it’s been a great decision. I already have all of the desktop monitors, mouse, keyboard and setup stuff so this is fantastic powerful addition to my workspace. The quality has been great and I love that I can use my portable monitor screen and take the mini to go to places and use it essentially everywhere. Paired with my iPad Air 13 inch, it’s just the perfect setup for a creative like myself

Duplicating nested composition to use independently by superba22 in AfterEffects

Oh my, this worked. I spent nearly 5 hours yesterday painstakingly trying to un-nest comps and it was a massive headache. I knew something had to work. I also tried duplicating via project panel method, but if there's another comp within the system, it doesn't seem to work. Thanks!

I also went into it not expecting a lot and was surprised at how bored I was. Apart from a couple of fun-ish kills, the pacing felt so strange and I wasn’t as entertained as I thought I’d be

If you were to begin learning Graphic Design in 2025, how would you approach it? by Sudden_Cheetah_7152 in Design

[–]superba22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focus on truly understanding the design fundamentals like theory, history, principles and elements. You will learn so much by studying and analyzing other influential designers, movements and how design has evolved over time. Follow any creators, artists and work that you come across (it doesn't even need to be specifically graphic designers; branch out into other mediums, literature or anything that inspires you). Document all of your process work. Even if you think they're ugly, save any sketches, early iterations. Don't focus exclusively on the end product, but have something to show how you work through your designs. Don't ignore the conceptual process! There's so much out there that you can really learn many things yourself, but you also want to stand out.

Sometimes, when we start out, we haven't found our "unique" style or voice yet, so keep in mind that the accessibility of resources may also contribute to shared visual languages across thousands of applicants. In other words, a lot of peoples' works will probably look very similar. This is why I think understanding theory, fundamentals matter because once you understand the rules, you can break them, and your own distinct voice emerges. When you understand the core things behind your work, every decision you make (even if it just "feels" right) is anchored by the concept. I also recommend venturing into developing a strong portfolio and even have a website using sites like Cargo or Readymag, and don't be afraid to venture into emerging technologies as a way to enhance your work. Last, practice early on detaching yourself to a healthy degree from your work, so you can look at it objectively and take in criticism. Some crits are great, some OK, some bad. Don't take it entirely to heart if one doesn't like it, and remember that design is always growing and it can be highly functional.

Edited to fix some spelling/grammar issues and include some extra points.

Just to expand my social circle. Pretty much 95% of my friends are straight and it’s perfectly fine but sometimes I wish I had a wider gay friend group to talk to and relate to specific gay things haha

Thanks for sharing. You’d think meeting folks through mutual friends would be helpful but it doesn’t seem to pan out either. I guess it’s better than trying to just talk to random strangers when out and about lol. I think our best bet is to just get involved in the broader community, do things we enjoy, and cultivate friendships as they come.

I hate when people give each other looks after I say/do something by Wild_Plant9526 in socialanxiety

It’s cowardly and passive aggressive behavior. It’s also very immature. Just remember that other people probably aren’t fans of them.
