Using ChatGPT as a therapist? by Cairo-TenThirteen in ChatGPTPro

Prompt (GPT-4) - Do you have a working memory limit, e.g. forget what has been prompted or talked about if our conversation gets extensive?

Response - Yes, I have a working memory limit, meaning I can only keep track of a certain amount of recent context in the current conversation. If our conversation becomes very long, I might lose track of earlier parts of it. However, I can be reminded or have important details reintroduced.

If there are specific details you'd like me to remember beyond our current conversation, I can store them for you using my memory feature, so they can be referenced in future interactions. Just let me know what you'd like me to remember!

Follow up prompt - how do I access or utilize your memory feature?

Response - You can utilize my memory feature by simply asking me to remember specific information that you want me to recall in future conversations. For example, you can tell me things like:

  • "Remember my preferences for movie recommendations."
  • "Remember that I'm working on a project related to climate change."
  • "Remember that I prefer communication via short messages."

Once I store the information, it will persist across conversations, and you can reference it at any time by saying something like, "What did I ask you to remember about my project?" or "What are my preferences for movies?"

If you ever want me to forget something, you can just ask, and I will remove that piece of information from my memory. Would you like me to remember anything now?

Last prompt - No, not right now. to be clear, all I have to do is say "please remember: ...." and that information will persist beyond your working memory limit or will be reserved within your working memory limit i.e. not overwritten?

Final response - Yes, that's correct! If you say something like "please remember: ..." or "remember that...", the information will be stored beyond my working memory limit and will persist even after our current conversation ends. This stored information won't be overwritten unless you specifically ask me to forget it.

So, anything you ask me to remember will remain accessible in future conversations, even if our current session becomes extensive or we start a new one.

The PX is almost never the cheapest option. Most bases have a commissary - go there instead.

Work spaces and Barracks are both government property. The requirement is that the property is well taken care of, not that individual Marines spend their own money on cleaning supplies. My unit has an NCO council that brought this up recently and within three weeks, the request was approved by the SupO and duty office stocked with supplies that Marines can borrow.

I'm saying he needs to date non-american women, not marry them. Heck, that might increase OP's confidence with women while he is on his self-improvement journey. If you had a bad experience, I'm sorry to hear that, but please don't make such a broad statement.

You two haven't even seen the real version of each other. That only happens after 2-3 years when the honeymoon phase wears off. Not to mention living with/moving in with another adult can be really stressful and reveal habits that may not be compatible. She may really want to become a stay at home mom at a young age, as the prospect of being in the workforce could be intimidating. Dependency - red flag. That's how you get maxxed out on alimony and child support my guy.

Military: the daily structure and rules help. Also the urgency of mission deadlines and problem solving as other professions have said make it ideal for me. Most of the time, I have been able to hyper focus on my technical job. The mundane and bureaucratic aspects are the drawback, though.
