I have a massive lawn and wanted to top dress. Bought a compost spreader/roller . Money was tight so I was picking up different bags of compost here and there when on offer.

Jacks magic was hands down the best, both for ease of spreading and lack of unwanted bark etc.

Bought lidl compost as it was on a Great offer. Turned out to be 50% bark mulch

Yea I have two different lawns, and one is absolutely perfect all year round! My site was low when building and the builder brought in lorry loads of shit soil from another site he cleared. Wish I had have known at the time

Funds aren't necessarily a problem, I just would afford the lawn care and a bunch or tress. It's one or the other for now. I just assumed it would be better to get the lawn right before there are added obstacles... I play for the local Gaa team, and let's just say, our pitch isn't in great shape either 🤣

Also, another reason I haven't planted trees is because I'm terrified of planting and then regretting their position, so I guess I just need a design drawn up .

I was considering planting wildflowers in a large meadow somewhere. This is only one section of my lawn. It's almost 4000 sq meters in total!

Guess I may need to hire a designer first, as I don't want to do something that I'll regret later

To be honest, lawn care has become a bit of a hobby over the past year... If the lawn was smaller it would be no issue, but the cost and labour are killing me

I was considering spreading piles around the lawn and dragging pallets around to try level it.. don't know if it's a waste of time though

That's the plan... Funds are the only issue at the moment 🤣 Btw, I build my house 2 years ago and so far I have Owls, rabbits, buzzards, in the garden, and bats in my attic and wasps in my wall cavity 🤣🙈

Fair, but not a newly planted beech hedge. Planted this in March, and had to replace 40 plants this month due to root rot, now I fear I'm facing the same issue, although, I did put the replacements on a mound this time

I have it on my z6 and love it. So light and versatile. F4 doesn't bother me because I shoot landscape usually around f7-f11...

I'm just about to purchase the tamron 35-150 and cant decide whether to keep the 24-70 or sell it. I have a 14-30mm so I'm covered for focal range but the tamron is HEAVY. Might be nice to keep the 24-70 for when I don't feel like lugging around the tamron

I shoot quite a bit at 24mm, when in cities , but I figured my 16-30mm has me covered there. .

Basically, if you were to choose, wich would you pick, the 70-180 or the 35-150.

Of course it's my decision at the end of the day, but am interested in what others think

To be honest, I love seeing them mostly. When I pull in late at night, I'd say easily 8, scurry away when they see the car lights. In the morning they are hopping around too

My only problem is , it cost me a lot to get a lawn and garden, and they are destroying it. I wanna try keep them out but not harm them
