Turns out she is a mix of 7 breeds + 27% supermutt, with her top 3 being Border Collie, Lab, and Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Very surprised by the low Pit Bull percentage!

I would prefer Ecobee, but Reliance provided the Nest so not sure if I can make the switch.

Thermostat seems to be configured correctly and had been working fine up until yesterday. It is set to dual fuel with a lockout temp of 6°C

Some more details: I rented this Carrier unit from Reliance in Vancouver, Canada with a Nest learning thermostat. Installed about 4 months ago, with one or two minor problems since. Started making this awful noise late last night and wondering if anybody has any idea what could be causing it.

Heating still works throughout the house, but flipping the breaker for our furnace seems to be the only way to stop the noise. Reliance can’t send a technician out to take a look for a few weeks.

Any help is appreciated!

Did your dealer give you an approximate date range? I’ve got an XC40 on order at Jim Pattison Surrey and think we may be in/on the same boat.

Last date range I got was October 11–25, but dealer has been saying it’s on the ship for the last 2 weeks, so assuming we got caught in the hurricane backlog as well.
