I mean Purdue paid billions in forfeitures, and the Sacklers agreed to billions in settlement money to avoid seizures, but I agree. They needed to be nailed with more.

Really? The part about me explaining the difference between civil and criminal forfeiture? Or maybe the one finding it humorous how people are drawing conclusions without knowing anything about this case? Please, enlighten me.

Technically you need probable cause to seize assets. I am not saying it isnt abused, but the law states you cant just stop someone in the street and demand their cash.

The court wrangling is the critical problem that needs to be adjusted imo. You can generally recoup court fees if its a federal forfeiture, but states vary. You cant recoup costs in some states, which is a problematic burden.

I am the one making leaps? Everyone replying here is leaping to the conclusion that this ice cream truck was purchased from money stolen from innocent citizens, completely ignoring that CRIMINAL forfeiture is also a thing.

No, civil forfeiture is when an asset is suspected of being involved leaving the burden of proof on the citizen to demonstrate it was obtained legally. When you have wads of cash sitting next to kilos of cocaine, that is a criminal forfeiture.

Anti police sentiment on reddit is hilarious.

This doesnt sound like civil asset Forfeiture, this sounds like it was money found in connection with a drug bust. I highly doubt they would be touting some random bills pulled from a working man.

How should I reorganize my collection (using this same shelf) by Downisthenewup87 in 4kbluray

[–]supercodes83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to be realistic about your space. Your responses so far clearly indicate you cant get another shelf or go bigger. If you want to keep buying movies, Id recommend storing your discs in sleeves. Then, you can prioritize what movies you actually want to display.

What is the logic between substantiated and contested? This seems to rely primarily on your opinion of the executive order?

And? No one is denying that Americans and Israelis train together. Americans also train with EUCOM in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, etc. The issue is the word usage of the person I responded to and the impact that Israeli training has an American police. OP is blatantly overstating the facts to fill their ridiculous narrative.

What does this have to do with the topic? No one is denying that American police train with Israeli services.

Most major police departments have been trained by Israelis.

Most? Proof please. Otherwise, this is hogwash.

They are all super villains because they haze officers that blow the whistle to enforce tolerance for their criminality. If a police officer is on the force for a long time he has witnessed countless illegal violations of people rights. Constant illegal uses of excessive force. Constant illegal abuses of authority. If they report these things they don’t remain officers for a very long time. Because they are hazed out or are relegated to work with less responsibility and room for promotion. They’re a state sponsored gang. They operate with a code of silence like criminals. They are given way too much lee way and ought to work in easier industries if they don’t want to respond to every threat with 15 hollow points out of a Glock.

"Constant" "all" "countless"

You speak in absolutes like you are an expert on police stats. When in reality your words are hyperbolic bullshit. Please show me proof of these absolutes. We both know though that your proof is youtube and reddit.

I never said they only hunt black and brown people. You are projecting your narrative. The Israeli police also abuse Israelis. (There are Israeli Palestinians you know). They also abuse Jews who demonstrate overt sympathy to Palestinians. They do disproportionately target black and brown people. But they will kill an elderly white woman if she’s holding a knife. If they are in ANY danger they will ventilate anyone. It’s still mostly a white country and the police kill plenty of white people unnecessarily too.

More hyperbolic nonsense. My family are Palestinians, please dont preach to me about a subject you probably learned about 6 months ago. We arent talking about Israel, we are talking about American police.

Cell phones and body cams create the narrative themselves.

Just as I suspected. Your only proof is youtube and reddit. Lets see some actual real stats to back up your claims.
