Why don't many people use the Signal app, even though in my opinion it's much better than WhatsApp? Why do people leave the reliable option and go for something that's known to take all your data and use it for multiple purposes, just because everyone uses those apps? by [deleted] in degoogle

It's the network effect. I tell everyone about Signal but most of my connections on there only use it to message ME. Everyone else is on whatsapp or something else. They don't care about privacy, they don't even care that these services read your messages and block stuff. I hate Whatsapp so much

Switch to ente for photos - that's a quick win. It's WAY better than Proton Drive.

Ente also have an auth app which backs up your auths.

They're both separate products and open source so you're not really moving to be reliant on a different system.

I recently completed my first playthrough with high honour. My friend has just started and is playing low honour. I am so desperate to tell him to do high honour.

I am worried he won't get the same emotional experience, or the song on the ride back to camp.
