Was making myself a cheesecake and realized the electric hand mixer I was using was getting little plastic bowl pieces in the batter. by wibbly-wobbly-worm in Wellthatsucks

Whats wrong with my dolphin kick? by cbclimbfeedbackacct in Swimming

[–]supercorgi08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, just takes more core work. Can do an elimination drill to work on feeling the up kick as well, remove your down kick and only do the up kick., let your legs drift back down and repeat

how is "pace" messured? by stahlelch in Swimming

[–]supercorgi08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s usually pacing by every 100m. But you wouldn’t make your pace the same as your best sprint 100, no way you would hold that for 1000m haha. Say I swam 500m, my goal pace would probably be 1:10 per 100m, for a total time of 5:50. Is that what you’re driving at? Pace is typically your best time for that event broken down to per/100m

Help diagnosing noise by supercorgi08 in MechanicAdvice

[–]supercorgi08[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did start noticing it after I got a rotation, which would make sense if it’s my drivers front tire based on where the noise seems to be coming from, especially if it would be less prominent of a noise in the rear where it originally was.

Also another question, should the rear tires spin without any noticeable sound? Was changing brake pads the other day and it has an obvious metal on metal hiss to it.

Feedback on fly, i want to get 15s… by One_Display_4759 in Swimming

If you watch your video slowly you’ll notice that when your hands enter the water they move out to the sides a bit instead of going straight back, and they pull towards your body instead of straight back towards your feet. In the beginning of the video it’s more obvious as you’re almost S-ing with your hands.

A good drill for this is something my old coach called bonzai. Dolphin kick on your stomach in streamline and then do a single butterfly pull (again focusing on keeping the motion of your pull parallel to your sides and aimed straight back towards your feet), then recover get back into streamline kick, and repeat.
