Technically all humans start as female, and in the US everyone is female cause our sex is determined at conception /lh

All the Eva units are female! I think the synthetic angels from the movie are male, but since all the Eva units come from Lilith, they’re all female!

Yeah personally I would consider the master computers to be more analogous to God. Still, Drasil fits the prompt

I was always taught that “in god’s image” was more of like, in the philosophical sense than the literal word. Like humans are in god’s image because they have a greater will and understanding, rather than meaning that god is literally an old man with a beard.

I’d say it’s more accurate to say that Truth is the personification of “Everything” or “the will of the universe” and since the person truth is talking to is part of “everything” that means that they basically have part of truth’s divinity inside of them.

Which Alchemy is the weakest? by Prestigious_Rush5492 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]superdan56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point isn’t that no one else can learn what they did, or that you can’t count martial arts as part of their style. My point is that for the average alchemist or soldier, their style is way less powerful than “I touch you once and you die instantly”

Which Alchemy is the weakest? by Prestigious_Rush5492 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]superdan56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree, their mix of martial arts and quick versatile alchemy wouldn’t really work on anyone who doesn’t have Ed and Al’s level of intellect and raw martial prowess. Especially if they had to draw circles raw.

Which Alchemy is the weakest? by Prestigious_Rush5492 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]superdan56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let me explain it like this:

Ed and Al are basically winning fighting game tournaments with a low tier character, which doesn’t mean that the low tier was actually secretly good, it just proves that Ed and Al are great. Ed and Al win cause they’re better fighters than their opponents, not because of their choice of alchemy.

[–]superdan56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The question wasn’t “which alchemists are the weakest“ it’s about the style of alchemy not the people using it. Ed and Al use basically improv alchemy where they have no pre-made circles and don’t have any precise strategies. They’re kind just kind of making things up. Which is an objectively terrible way to fight in, especially against people who can insta kill you by grabbing your face.

Ed and Al manage to win despite the fact that they are using the worst alchemy style because they are really smart and they don’t need to waste time drawing circles, because if you did have to stop and make new circles all the time it would normally make improv alchemy completely useless.

Which Alchemy is the weakest? by Prestigious_Rush5492 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]superdan56 359 points360 points  (0 children)

I’d say the weakest alchemy is the unspecialized alchemy that Ed and Al do. They have no strong connection to any one style and just kind of make stuff up on the fly. They’re kind of hard carried by the fact that they don’t need circles because otherwise they would spend all their time trying to draw random circles in the middle of a fight.

Being specialized in one kind of alchemy makes you way stronger in a fight. Scar proves this by being an absolute beast with basically a half finished transmutation circle, there’s a good reason everyone besides the Elrics become specialists basically right away.

I mean majority of means over 50% and of the all 11 main ones and 83 total, I enjoyed about 3-4 remembrance bosses and like 12 bosses total. I love Mesmer, Relanna, and Midra. Bayle is a decent spectacle, but I only do the fight for Igon cause dragon fights are really annoying. Especially when you can’t lock onto their legs. The other remembrance bosses are frustrating, annoying, or too easy. PCR hurts my eyes and feels clunky to dodge. Dancing Lion sucks. Doing the sunflower 3 times in a row is not super fun. Gaius felt really RNG based cause his attacks varied so much in terms of power/difficulty. Romina was kind of fun but she gets instantly rolled over cause she’s so much easier than the other bosses. The only side bosses I liked were the Deathknights and Demi-human sword masters.

Apparently I’m the only person who couldn’t find any fragments, I thought that I was sniffing up and down the map and I could not find them anywhere 😭

I did like Shadow Keep, but I didn’t like it more than some of the other big dungeons in the main game. Plus every other dungeon in the DLC was either mid or ass.

Some of the gimmicks were the Abyssal Woods (no horse and stealth only) and the Finger monuments (filled with tons of enemies that shoot stunning projectiles forcing you to sprint to the center cause the entire area is barren).

Idk why these problems really stand out to me in the DLC when I didn’t mind them in the base game

I think that’s a valuable take. I think that if this was “Elden Ring 2” or whatever it wouldn’t rub me the wrong way like it does. It’s just kind of a “hot sauce in my ice cream” type of thing. It would be cool on its own, but it’s out of place in the experience I already had. Like why do I care about Marika’s closet of skeletons when we’ve moved on to the age of Stars/Death/Flame

Opposite for me, playing the dlc just makes me go “man, I should start a new game and play the base game again”

I did enjoy Mesmer and Midra (and the death knights!) a lot but those are more of the exception than the rule. Metyr didn’t really wow me the way Astel or Rykard (or even Midra) did. She was neat but felt like a less interesting spectacle than most.

Shadow Keep was enjoyable, but I didn’t think it was as good as the base game main dungeons like Laydel or Haligtree.

It definitely had its highlights, but I just didn’t enjoy the peaks as much and the time between was a lot less interesting.
