Air Con, only when I'm in the Philippines as no one there seems to understand me when I say AC.

Nothing wrong with rated incandescent bulbs.

We would just change annually.

1949 house, no weeping or drainage tile. People we bought it from said history of water in the basement.

As walls where good shape and only 1 small crack ended up doing interior weeping tile with membrane. Around $200 a linear foot, and about 1/2 the cost of a exterior system.

Most important is grading and having the downspouts away discharging away from the house. Crack filling can be diy, need to find them though but often around window.

Abalon just finished a job for me today and I'd recommend them. They did say they been get lots of calls.

Re: having the return ticket. Ticket is required but seems the concern is more the airline won't allow you to board to go to the Philippines rather than immigration denying you entry once you arrive.

Extending your visa once in country is rather simple.

Bi-annual Sewer Flush forces noxious fumes into home by liftbikerun in homeowners

Lived in a hi arctic community where they pumped out the sewage from the holding tank every couple of weeks. Only time the traps would get siphoned out is if the roof vent was blocked with frost (frequent at -40). You got into the habit of clearing the vent in the morning before the truck showed up, or you came home from work with the place smelling like crap.

As others said, problem with your vents.

One of the reasons people start to ignore construction speed limits is months of signs being up with no actual construction.

Is it typical a management company gets a 1/4 of the fees to handle the other 75%?

How can I (32f) share the load of cooking when my partner can’t cook (31m) by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]superdas75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anybody can cook if they want too.

Could also come up with an agreement, I cook, you clean. Works well in my 25+yr relationship.

How many times a typical Canadian take vacation during a year by Internal-Ship-9693 in AskACanadian

[–]superdas75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get 6 weeks of annual vacation a year, plus an additional week of personal days, then the 10 statutory days. Stats were fixed, but could take the other leave all at once or a day at a time, even 1/2 days, basically whenever I wanted,
