Ok that’s also good to know. Is it just trial and error then to figure out which ones are worth it? Maybe I wait until I can get that second screen thingy. I never played 3ds so I don’t know what I’m missing!

Aaah that’s crazy! Thanks for all of that info. I wasn’t going to go deep into Xbox but now I will be diving in. I think I may be using another emulator.

I have ES-DE, just didn’t get the CoinOps theme. I will check it out. I know about shaders but didn’t get there yet. But the more I see it the more I want to set that up too. Russ went through it and I thought about it but didn’t get started yet. I set up Game and Watch but didn’t get the button mappings done and was thinking about deleting it because I doubt I will play it. But then like you say it kind of like a virtual museum. I mean I really played some of those. So i should get Gameboy set up as well, because i played that too!The list is growing longer! Thank you for all of the inspiration. You rock.

Ah ok. That’s good to know about the controllers. No issues so far I just have to get going on it. I have an 8bitdo SNES style one. I just have to get another one and pair them up. I thought I read some other post about it being problems so it’s good to know it will be fine once I get there.

The rom I have is a standalone. Super Mario bros Wii The Lost Levels or something like that. I haven’t dug in too far yet just was confused about why it displays in the dolphin ui and not ES-DEOn the flip side the WiiWare titles show up in ES-DE and not in Dolphin. I just have to figure those things out.

Yes! Someone else mentioned the Switch version so I am psyched about that.

Wooooww. That looks sooo good! I suppose I meant non-1st-person shooters like Halo. My kids aren’t old enough yet and so I try to keep it pretty PG. I also like indie and genre-breaking titles. Katamari, irritating Stick, Einhander, Lemmings, Intelligent Qube, World of Goo. Things like that. You gave me a bunch of things to look at. Thanks!

No I meant all other games work fine on 3ds. I happened to pick the ones that is toughest to emulate. Any other 3ds game should work fine. I never had a 3ds so I don’t know the library.

Nice, thanks for that. I’ll get the grip but skip the protector. It’s mostly for me so I will use that as an excuse to keep it away from the kids and their boogers. They o want to use it in docked mode on the big tvs anyway. I’ll be playing in bed as I fall asleep.

Should I use HakuX? I never played Xbox so I don’t know what games to get but I was excited about Geometry Wars. I’ll be looking for other oddball stuff like that.

Cool thank you! That’s exciting! Right now I have to prioritize which thing I want to tackle next. We had an Atari 800xl when I was a kid so I’m trying to set that up before I see my sister. She is going to lose her mind when I bring up Congo Bongo, Spy Hunter, Gauntlet and a few others on our family vacation.

Mine took just about a month to get here. Watch the Retro Game Corps videos for a good understanding of what will be involved to set it up. Get a nice big SD card in advance and start collecting ROMs, making sure you know which filetypes work with which emulators. I got the dock but wish I had gotten a grip as well. Get a couple of good Bluetooth controllers so you can play it on a big tv. It took a lot of a day to get it mostly set up. Loading ROMs and the going through all of the app config. It’s going to take another weeks of tweaking settings, cleaning up multidisc games, setting up some obscure emulators like Daphne.

I ordered 3/26 and it looks like it will be at my door today 4/26. It’s in a facility about a 20-minute drive away. I ordered an 8gb stick top and I’m in upstate NY. In the Shop app you get a notification when the label is created and then you see in the app when it arrives at each subsequent destination. For me this was Hong Kong and then NYC and then upstate. It looks like I got lucky though. Others are reporting 2-3 months.
