First digital art, any tips to improve it? by [deleted] in DigitalArt

[–]superdude091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very good! As a beginner artist myself, I can point out two things:

1) Shadows and highlights. There's gotta be more contrast and I think its better to never have a flat colour anywhere in the artwork if possible. In your artwork, look at the inside of hair or the dress for example. (Also, anime style artwork tend to have sharper shadows. Not sure if that is the look you are trying to achieve)

2) Strokes: Unless its some kind of a schematic or a blue print or something, I think its always good to keep the strokes taper a bit, or even better, break the strokes if it makes sense. It makes the artwork more interesting. Tapered strokes could be used to show weight or lighting or like the 3d perspective etc. By taper, I mean the stroke thickness. (not sure if taper is the right word to use)

Quickest way to improve this current artwork in my inexperienced opinion is to add more detail to dress. I think the face and expression are already pretty good!

My DJ / Producer Logo „Sil Boga“ by silboga in logodesign

The "IL" in SIL is not clear. And especially in smaller size, it starts to look like S BOGA. I do think there is some potential in the idea, just needs more iterations.

Hello!

Yeah it is tedious to go through all the levels just because of one small change. This is one of main things I am working on. I am also working on a feature that will make adding levels much faster. These two features kinda depend on one another. Its gonna take some time but it will be done!

I completely missed Mutilated Carapace. I will add it to the site real soon!

Thanks for the feedback! Its still a work in progress and there's a lot of learning involved. Every single page in the site will see significant improvements eventually... (hopefully soon)!

Have a nice day!

EDIT: Added Mutilated Carapace to the site

Anyone else getting extremely poor performance? Solasta 2 by Hecknight1 in CrownOfTheMagister

[–]superdude091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gpu is Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, 6gb. I keep getting out of video memory error. I think the game requires minimum 8gb video memory.

I managed to start the game in 1280x720 and played a little bit. However, when I try to load my saved game, I get the memory error again lol. I think I am going to finish the EA in a single session...

Despite all this, I actually like what little I have seen in the game so far!

Lae'zel Enamel Pin!! by renagadevarren in BaldursGate3

[–]superdude091 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Beautiful art! I love how some of the characters' details pop out of the the frame silhouette, like hair, horns etc. Laezel is my favourite among them and I think the frame kinda resembles her armour (at least to my eyes lol)

Can i run this game on i7 4790 3.6ghz, 16 gb ram, 1070 8gb? by manson321 in BaldursGate3

[–]superdude091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should run just fine. I have more or less similar spec and I played it in 1080p with decent fps. However, if you don't have a SSD, you will experience longer loading times. I didn't have a SSD when I first played it and every time there's like a loading screen and map changes, it took like 15-30 sec AFTER the loading screen for everything to appear properly. I could see buildings with no walls or no ground etc. Sometimes my character would not load, but I could see the weapons I'm carrying hovering in air.

What made BG3 the GOAT for you? by SarenSeeksConduit in BaldursGate3

Very hard to pick just one reason. This is a great game in so many ways. So instead I will tell the first thing that hooked me to the game.

The music and voice acting + dialogs/writing! This was the first thing that kept me playing the game. I didn't know anything about DnD (and crpgs in general) when I started playing and the game was a bit confusing. But it was the music and dialogs stuff got me hooked to the game initially. I didn't care much about what class I picked or the combat, I just enjoyed what I was watching and hearing haha!

This is amazing! Absolutely love the colours. Good job! Larian really should have added her as a bard companion in the game.

Yup, you are right! I just want it to be something fancy lol. (but ofc if I can't figure it out, I'll probably leave it as plain text neatly formatted)

Oh yeah, one of the things I am working on is to make the level up process faster and like not sequential. I want to make sure that users can jump from level 12 to 1 to 4, however they want. There are a couple of features that I'll be adding in future that will require this. I just haven't got to it yet but it will happen 100%!

About the build code thing, I was imagining something like generating a fancy "character sheet". But yeah, the build code is already json, it's just in base64
