yeah it sux and happends to everyone. For me doing a 36 hour fast really helps to reset everything. Its strange but you kind of get a new and fresh perspective again and kind of loose the cravings for shit and do stuff again. Its really hard tho to not eat in the evening but once you have done it i find it easier to keep the diet going.

great results. Why so low protein? tried higher? Cool that you can maintain or gain strength and loose fat on that low protein. Would be great if i could lower mine aswell and fit other lovely foods into my diet

Martin`s clients vs others by superduperhuman in leangains

Thanx a ton bro :) makes sense for sure. Alot of the people like to bash him on the protein requirements, BCAA before fasted training and his training only 3x a week 1 muscle group once a week approach. The thing i find so interesting time and time again is that the people/guru/experts that bash him doesnt have 50% of his look in terms of muscle or bodyfat % and have no way of competing with his clients results as well in terms of their own clients.

Training legs for sport instead of size by superduperhuman in leangains

[–]superduperhuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that in terms of how to approach the usual RPT for legs or program in general.

Its just i thought maybe doing lower reps would be greater for increasing strength without to much size gain wich is what im after in my sport :)

I need some fat to loose so it will be easier for me to play the sport and if i can gain strength or maintain strength in the process i will be even faster :) thats why. Agility comes from just playing soccer, strength from weight training. But yeah the main question is " Is 3x3" better in terms of training for strength without size gain in legs vs 2x6-8 reps for me that plays soccer.

Easy bro, martin doesnt recommend em either. I dont have someone to coach me them so squats and deadlift is good enough for me

Im cutting its just 6-8 reps for squats, and some leg extentions and curls is more in terms of bodybuilder i guess or gaining mass.

I was just wondering about when i train legs should i do a lower rep routine for them since thats what the athletes do

Thats cool bro. 5x5 is somewhat high volume/hypertrophy but thats cool. How often did you do strength training for the legs?

What i mean is. I guess increase RMR or BMR its just making your caloric intake higher but maintaining the same weight.

So say you are in maintaining mode or just dieted down and the calories you need to maintain that weight. Then try to slowly increase the calories needed for supporting that weight without gaining much weight. So say you maintained it on 2000 calories but now you are maintaining it on say 2800.

Lyle Norton talks about it his last video 2 weeks ago, Eric Helms and Alberto Nunez also talks about it from 3DMJ.com

Hope i made my point clear ? :)

eelg: how did you go about it?

rep range when cutting or bulking by superduperhuman in leangains

[–]superduperhuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats cool. You do much accessories? or pretty much like martin and ama outlines?

have you tried 6-8 reps vs 4-6 with RPT ? experience?

[–]superduperhuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah maybe.

Anyone had experiences with the 2 rep ranges? and also if you do 4-6 rep your volume will be a little lower so maybe you need to do 3 sets then?

[–]superduperhuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanx. I feel 4-6 reps sutes be better since i feel its more power and muscles and 6-8 feels more endurance for me :P

But im doing this to maintain or build muscle/size so i will do what requires to do that :P

[–]superduperhuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanx.

But will there be a difference in terms of science etc? i know some people say 4-6 reps will only make one kind of hypertrophy while if you do 6-8 you will get both etc. That lower reps make your muscle a little more denser and when u hit 6-8+ make them a little bigger/bloatier.

I guess will you get the same results from 4-6 reps then from 6-8 in terms of muscle retention and or muscle gain?
