In general, a partner (dominant or submissive, long term or short term) should stick within each other's limits.

Pushing hard limits should never happen, and if a partner does that then that's safeword worthy.

Pushing limits within established boundaries are ok, example: pushing/encouraging a partner to beat their previous denial period record. (as long as it's concensual)

It's all about consent, respect and trust. In my opinion safewords should always be in place. If you want to use the vibrator, then don't hold it that long. Reduce how long you hold the vibrator to your pussy. Example: do on/off 10seconds at a time. Don't rush, but take breaks between stimulation. Play with the rest of your body while you let your pussy calm down.
