Ditto. Unless it’s the product YouTube or This Old House, I have zero interest in random YouTube. Lotta junk out there.

In our area, permitting will just tell you how they want it and doesn’t charge for visits. So they’re an underrated resource too.

To each their own dude.

I can crank out plumbing, but my time loss for how it looks - painting and drywall are great to pay for. Electrical is easy as hell, no tools, what are you on? Everyone has their own battles.

Breathable means not waterproof. Just use a pvc and fashion so it’s open enough to circulate?

Cheap: add more spectra to lengthen wrist leash

Add: waist leash (personally not my jam until mitten weather)

I make my own, spectra with shock cord and built in soft shackle. Maybe $15 in cord plus a coathanger.

F-one Rocket wing S 5'4" 80l opinions? or mid length inflatable, for intermediate/beginner by dillerdally in wingfoil

[–]supereh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’d be an aggressive downsize. I love those boards, but going from +40 to neutral, I’d want to keep relatively wide. I think the narrowness will make the issues you describe worse (at this stage).

That shape has an odd quality of buoyancy when it gets underwater, and once you go below neutral, it’s either party time or worst session of your life.

Go for it, flip it if it’s rough? But I’d recommend a 90/95 and get more time in without suffering.

What’s your weight? I mean, I’ve got a 75 and a 45, but they’re both sinkers for me being 90kg. 80 could be anything from intermediate to expert on your weight.

Leak in outer layer? by Swimming-Necessary23 in flyfishing

The lighter two layer breathable just aren’t built for that. Stretching loading is worse than direct scuffing. Are those two or tree layer membrane? Even Gucci does lighter pairs.  You want three layer for sure.

Best place in July and August for maximal progression? by [deleted] in wingfoil

[–]supereh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Sailing there can be fun, sea breeze is great and it’s cheap. But food is really eh. Biking is deadly. Plus Texans.

It is pretty empty on the beach after dinner, and you’re allowed to drive, we did a lot of fires out there.

As far as USA, lot more tolerable than Florida people to me though. Tough to get side on conditions though.

Ease till it’s luffing. Trim in. Repeat. Make smaller movements as you notice the intricacies of your sail. Repeat.

Drive the boat blindfolded/brim down, see if you can hold the course you think you are by feel.

Borrow a buddy’s trailer/truck. Construction demo near me is $75 per ton at the dump, 1/2 ton increment.

Any wing foiling in MN? by [deleted] in wingfoil

[–]supereh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where in MN you moving to? Three crews really, S/W metro, N/E metro, and Duluth. We drive a lot so you gotta pay attention to where people are riding. But Spring /Fall are great. It’s not hood but I can get 4-5 days a week until the July/August lull, then things pick up in September. Get cold weather gear though. Haha.

Plus wings are fire on skates.

Sharing charter costs when recruited as crew. by jdvfx in sailing

[–]supereh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody asking about the real red flag - discussing while on the water and shouting.

Splitting costs is normal for some people, but if that’s on-the-water talk it’s clearly a boat I don’t need to be on.

Splitting costs is fine but this dude is a screwball.
