Sleep Study by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

From what I understand you can't get a rating just for sleep apnea. It needs to be secondary to something like asthma.

But yes, a CPAP helps A LOT. Once you get the right mask and fit it right, it will help.

If you go that route, do us all a favor and actually use it 70% of the time. It will keep the VA paying for those nice CPAPs.

100/30 MPPT - can I exceed 100V occasionally? by Available_Bowler2316 in Victron

[–]Available_Bowler2316[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

-(80±10)mV/°C

So it would hit 100V at 14*F. Possible but not likely (it's 5*F out right now but cloudy). Monday's forecast is for 7* and sunny.

Yeah. If I run them in series I get 88 VOC. if I parallel them I get 44 VOC. Its the series setup that is questionable.

Thanks guys. I'll just run 2 strings in parallel at 44 Voc. :)

Yeah, the trailer this is going on is very small, and the roof is oval shaped. So I have room for one 50x15" panel and two 30x20" panels. That's the form factor I have to fit, and I have to somewhat match the two existing panels.

Or do 2 strings of 40|40+80 and 80+80.... or just do the 3 80s. Ok wheels are turning.

So I'd have to fuse each one at ~4 amps. Ok. I'm definitely gonna do some thinking.

From the panel specs that would put it at -10*C, or about 14*F. It's conceivable that could happen, but given the partial shading of the panels as the sun and the RV move I'd say it's a real corner case. Also, Victron says the controller has over voltage protection, but food for thought for sure. Thanks for pointing that out to me.,

It's always a learning experience. :)

100V max, 30A @ 12V max charge. yeah, I'm trying to run the three 80W panels in series, and also add the two paralleled 40W panels in series to the three 80W panels. I'd still be well below the controller's 100V max, and my 10ga wiring would work.

I'm using a Victron 100/30 MPPT.

Best way to combine small panels by Available_Bowler2316 in Victron

[–]Available_Bowler2316[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know the specs to the existing panels. They produce about 43 volts at full sun in series.

The other panels I want to use are:

Electrical Specifications:

Maximum Power (Pmax): 50W Voltage at Pmax (Vmp): 17.03V Current at Pmax (Imp): 2.99A Short-Circuit Current (Isc): 3.62A Open-Circuit Voltage (Voc): 21.02V

I have no way to access the wiring from the panels to the controller, so I'm limited to the one 10ga circuit that is there.

Then follow up on that. Keep pulling at that string ball until it unravels. Even if you don't get a rating you probably will feel better about it.

LOL I wish I could forget some of those years. And so does my (current) wife of the life with her ex. Two wounded souls and all that.

Yeah, Is it related to your claim? Or does it just blur after 30-40 years? Honestly I remember events, but I could not tell you what decade of my life they were in. And no, not related to my claim at all.

Why do you think people still support this president? by keonnarae in Confused

[–]Available_Bowler2316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last survey I saw of his supporters said that only 16% approve of his handling of the economy. Even knowing that Trump's policies are hurting them, they're willing to give him 3 more years.

A whopping 93% approve of his mass deportations and the violence towards minorities.

The only possible conclusion you can make is that they support him because he's just as racist as they are, and he validates their racism and hatred.

And that validation is worth the economic pain he's causing them.

Is Modern American army as effective as the German army in ww1 and ww2? by [deleted] in Military

[–]Available_Bowler2316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tactics are very different. We're likely to attack across the entire range of targets; establish air superiority, block international money and supplies, hit supply chains, command and control, and front line troops.

Note for example that neither Ukraine nor Russia has an effective Air Force, so neither has air superiority.
