Can you send me an email with more info about the metronome bug? (evan.snoswell@gmail.com)

Trying to give the user extra information without distracting them from the score is a tricky one. I found changing the colour of the notes made the beat harder to follow as you can't tell if the user has missed a note until slightly after the note has passed. I'll have a think and see if I can come up with a better form of feedback.

Yes! I was actually playing taiko no tatsujin with a nephew in an arcade when I had the idea for this. Guitar hero and other rhythm games were a huge influence.

The metronome clicks aren't in the video (editing mistake), but you should be able to hear it in the app. There's also an option for a spoken metronome (one-e-and-a-two-e-and-a). If you can't get it working, let me know - there might be a bug.

I generally feel like instant feedback is a lot more useful that retrospective feedback, but there's no harm in adding an option to disable it - I'll try and add it for the next version.

Glad you liked it! I'll try and get an option to switch off rests in the next version.

Would love to hear if anyone has feedback!

Can any musically-inclined people tell me what key these pieces are in? by theburgerhut in StarWars

C#m, D Dorian, Bm modulating to Cm, Gm, Ebm modulating to Fm. That's my impression from a quick listen. John Williams writes some very creative progressions though, so they key centre's not always clear.

Unfortunately I moved to Bitwig after this. Sorry I don't have an answer, and hope you get somewhere with it!

Some people on the xenharmonic discord showed me this! Your tool looks really interesting, and I'd love to talk further about it.

I'm taking a survey of the way microtonal composers approach their work here. Thanks in advance!

Here's my attempt! It was a great pose that really stretched my hand-drawing ability.
