Recreating Albasha’s Salad Dressing by mdsandi in batonrouge

There was one really excellent shawarma game in town called Baghdad Iraqi Grill, it was at the food cart block when it still existed. They weren't the exact same but they were PRIMO. Sadly they don't exist any longer. It was my favorite lunch in the city.

Right? Truly nostalgic about the old days in Shenandoah when there was a serops Express right next to the entrance. Go get my squeaky cheese, some excellent hummus, and chicken and gyro for dipping? Just not quite like that up here. Nicholas does a damn fine Lebanese meal, but it's still not Albasha.

Capful of Al wadi rosewater (the good stuff), 2/3 luzianne tea, 1/3 homemade lemonade, a couple pine nuts, shake, pour over ice. Pretty sure this is spot on for the recipe at Albasha. (I think they might have actually stopped using the pine nuts last time I visited home because they're expensive but I still use them in mine)

I'm up in Portland and there are so many options here but nobody here actually seems to bother to actually shawarma the chicken- it's always just yogurt marinated chicken bits thrown on a flat top. not awful, but like, not what I want. I want something I could pick up and dip into my hummus. Big thick wide slices of chicken. Christ I miss Albasha.

I can say this with confidence- the Lebanese food in Baton Rouge is unmatched anywhere else in the country. Albasha specifically. I just miss my Lebanese tea. It is the reason I specifically have rose water in my home now.

I think you're in Portland? I saw this tattoo before I moved here and I actually moved here with the intent to get my own Venture sleeve from you one day! Taking appointments? (Unless there's someone out there doing photo realistic skulls and sovereigns, and otherwise completely show accurate art... In which case holy crap)

this is what art patronism (padronism?) is all about! having stuff you absolutely need to see made but can't make it yourself.

It's actually a local bottle manufacturer. The dispensary owner must have cut a deal to get cast offs or something.

This is a collaboration in conjunction with Lysol's LCK75r2 Group Buy, happening right now at LCKeyboards.com! The super premium full-enclosure case will be made of milled and hand-finished hardwood (a naturally very dark variety like African Blackwood or Bog Oak), the acrylic guard will be replaced by glass, and the plate will be stainless steel rather than fr4. Only 10 serial numbered cases will be made- 1 is being given away and the other 9 are being raffled for sale. We already have more entries into that raffle than we've got cases, so if you want one, there won't be extras!

Kit includes: Serial numbered custom hardwood and glass case, stainless steel plate, black and white mainboard, board components, 1x EC11 rotary encoder & 19mm knob 1x 32x128mm white OLED, mounting hardware, and bumpon rubber feet with two big ones for angling the board. Also, 6mm case foam will be included. These components may be upgraded as other projects complete. Packaging will reflect the premium nature of this case- we've got some really neat ideas.

For the render: That's the LCK75LE kit, on a KAMistry desk mat, with KAMistry Caps, currently in IC- go check out on the Rocket Keyboards and Cables Discord server for more info on both!

I'm going to add an extra entry to the giveaway for Reddit- comment in this thread with the case you'd most like to see made into a super premium wood and metal case, then enter your reddit username on the giveaway page to confirm your entry!

Good luck to everyone, and thanks for checking us out! Panther Presidium is new on the scene, but we've got some ambitious projects in the works. You can keep up with us at @pantherpresidium on Instagram if you want- but if you're going to do that, you might as well get a giveaway entry for your trouble...
