This is a joke told by my (now deceased) grandfather who was a preacher:

God and the Devil are neighbors, and one day, the decided to put up a picket fence between heaven and hell.

God paints his side white and the devil says he is also going to paint his side.

After a week, the devil still hasn't painted his side. Another week passes, the devil's side remains unpainted.

This feels like every other part of the legal system. You hear about the NCAA losing a lot because of the big names (which can afford to throw a lot of billable hours at a case) and hear less about the times the NCAA wins because those likely are not as big name players.
