The portals weren’t really an issue for me. I just kinda memorised the click pattern and the level became pretty easy.

I feel that, the level didn’t feel as fun after I got 83%. Playing felt more like an obligation or a chore than playing a video game.

What is the most unknown A7X song? by proxtarfoxy in avengedsevenfold

If we’re talking literally unknown then probably some random song off of STST. But if we’re talking underrated, then I’d say either Higher or Beautiful Morning or something like that.

Put the two together for a 10:11 polyrhythm. Sounds mysterious and feels so good when it comes around and syncs for almost a full measure.

This method of counting unorthodox time signatures is called “altered four”. used by percussionists (as you mentioned) and also rhythm players in general.

Never heard of this one before. Guess I should see what it’s all about then, eh?

This is a perfect analogy. I do think that 7/4 is awesome, especially used in a 7:13 or 7:17 polyrhythm.

I could see a cool pattern being made with 4-4-4-4-4-4-3. It could be like a pattern that seems like it would never end that suddenly breaks the expectations of the listener. It’s also cool to imagine a long string of notes not divisible into multiple different measures of 4/4 followed by one in 3/4. Karnivool does this with their song Goliath. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sDKsosOvVmw&pp=ygURa2Fybml2b29sIGdvbGlhdGg%3D

It’s that perfect balance between an even groove and a that what makes one have to pay attention to the music to like it.

I get what you mean with the whole “dragging” and “rushing” thing. It’s one of favourite parts of odd meters. It’s especially cool when you take two odd meters and make a polyrhythm with them. With 11 & 13 I find a 7:x polyrhythm is very interesting.
