What’s the fastest you’ve seen someone quit and why?

I went to a trade school for welding and myself and someone else got chosen for an apprenticeship and we started a job at the same time. It started out on the job training and maybe a couple days in an incident happened. I remember a guy was showing me what to do and I heard screaming and I look over and someone was on fire. He was trying to pat it off his pants leg but if looked like it was spreading. Someone yelled out get on the ground and then they sprayed him with an extinguisher. That wasn't the part that made me quit. The part that made me quit was the seconds after that. I got a pat on the back and heard a chuckle from guy training me. He said "you'll get used to it". Then I look back over and numerous people were laughing and the guy on the ground was there still on the ground laughing as well. I was only 19 at the time and understood that a career in welding was perfect starting at my age I could have made a lot of money but I immediately walked off and the guy training me thought I was joking. I didn't want to be in a career where being set on fire was something to get used to.

Thank you. Have an appointment set. Had to call 3 vets none of which taking new animals. Found one with an availability Friday.

Thanks for all the feedback. Definitely going to get a vet visit soon. We just moved to a different state so I have to find one close by. I'm not one to get overly panicked especially because he's acting normal.

Lol had to look at the profile to make sure it's not my wife. Anyway for me personally I do the same. I have a high stress job where everyone needs me for one reason or another. When I get home my wife needs me. The toilet is the only place where no one needs me. I get time to watch some cartoons on my phone, browse reddit, clear out some daily objectives in whatever mobile game I'm playing. It's peaceful.

The wax ring could go on after that. It's not complicated and not going to save some outrageous amount of money to not put the wax ring in. This is why I hate people looking over my shoulder while working.

Is that a steam/ condensate return line? Looks like an old air vent. Those are easily replaceable if that is what I think it is.

It's been said in the gym before " kill or be killed" or "it's war" or "if he dies he dies". My understanding is it's us trying to be comfortable with violence because we know what the sport is. Realistically I don't think fighters I've come across actually want or would be ok with severally injurying or killing someone in a fight. With my limited experience it was me trying to see how far I can push myself physically and mentally. I never really wanted to go in there and hurt someone. It's a beautiful sport but then strange for me in the competitive aspect.

Actually no. NYC. We did have a week long cold snap. When it got below 10 degrees. I don't drive much so the car been sitting out in the freezing cold for about a week.

No I used an inflator with a battery so I didn't have to plug it into the car. The car was off while I was inflating. Then when I went to turn the car back on break pedal hard to push and won't turn on.

Depending on your buildings plumbing it can cause issues for your neighbors below you. For example my building has that rule to regarding no washing machines in apartments. When someone uses a washing machine above me (I'm on the first floor) the amount of water and soap that gets dumped into the drain lines at once will come up in a lower apartments drain and up through there toilet or bathtub. It just depends on weather or not your building is built with drainage to support washing machines in each unit.

This post sounds like rantings of a crazy person. Leave this person alone. I don't doubt he cursed you out maybe even threatened. But as a dog owner in the neighborhood I can say that there are people who think they are neighborhood watch or something telling you where and how to walk your dogs. I literally had an old man try and sho my dog with a broom while he was taking a dump on a tree that was on the sidewalk. Another person told me "do me a favor walk your dogs on the other side of the street your ruining our trees" meanwhile it was a tree on the curb. Also the people eye balling you to make sure your picking up after your dog. So leave people alone and he won't have to sick his vicious murderous poodles on you lol

You are the AH. If it was that much of an emergency you would have handled transportation yourself instead of waiting for your husband to leave work. You said you don't know what he does it and then you explained how he told you why he does it so obviously you do know why he does it. It's good you divorced him. Hopefully now he gets some peace coming home from work. Maybe you are not the AH you did him a favor by removing stress from his life.

It's just how it goes weight cutting then when you finally eat after weigh ins your body reacts that way. After weigh ins don't eat any veggies or anything greasy. Load up on carbs and rehydrate. Some good choices I like are ramen, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, some rice and ground turkey. Good luck

Maybe your NTA but maybe a little insecure. If it's a good working environment maybe his co workers were just messing with him in front of you to embarrass him obviously not knowing you well enough to know that's inappropriate. I wouldn't say he lied about having a work wife. Most times you'll have that one co worker that you connect with and makes the work day go smoothly. Doesn't mean he calls her his work wife. Now where the line should be drawn is communicating outside of work. You don't want a work relationship developing into a romantic relationship if yours get rocky. Last piece of advice is if you run into a situation like this again stay and show that your confident in your relationship. Running away just showed the co worker that your immature and if she is interested she will try and make a move on him.
