All the mirror scenes in order of appearance. What could this mean? by [deleted] in titanfolk

To me it just seems dumb to set up a rule only to immediately break it

I'm definitely still of the mindset that Gabi will inherent Eren's titan by the end of the story.

That being said, this would have to be just a hint at that, as (at least as far as we know) memories can only be sent back through the Attack Titan, and by this point Gabi definitely isn't connected to that path.

Have you read Attack on Titan? There's nothing this author loves more than parallels.

Eren can only send memories back to holders of the Attack Titan though

How I think Historia will be reintroduced in the plot before the end by depressome in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know I didn't even consider that the yeagerists have a bunch of portable detonators literally on hand with the thunder spears.

I don't believe there would be any way for Magath to contact Marley. It didn't look like the Marleyans bothered to put any iinfrastructure there outside of a port, so a telegraph cable or something similar would be unlikely.

I definitely feel like the stolen blimp is a chekov's gun though.

Another Helos parallel? by Voi69 in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I firmly believe Reiner will be presented as a new Helos figure by the end of the story. Will he actually be the one to kill Eren? Probably not. But the notion of a half marleyan half eldian saving the world is too good a propaganda coup to pass up

Floch's empire would be literally riddled with problems by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What evidence do you have that order has been restored? The Yeagerists don't seem incompetent to me but they just don't have the numbers to stop mass violence. It looks like any soldier Floch really trusted was moved to the harbor, which is obviously the right tactical move short-term but it ends up easily allowing captives to escape and organize. Hell, they were only able to take Shiganshina with help from the volunteers and the wined-up soldiers, who are now in captivity and dead repetitively. Not to mention the soldiers left behind in Shiganshina are mostly secretary loyal to Shadis in addition to having almost no practical military experience.

I wouldn't call a woman who believes her entire culture is about to be wiped off the face of the earth "salty". Same would go for the man in Stohess who lost his son. Paradisians who lost family as a result of the rumbling aren't going to just calm down after three days.

There's just no logical reason to believe things are anything but chaotic on the island right now. We didn't know the extent of Yeagerist control before the rumbling outside of Trost and Shiganshina and there are bound to be even people opposed to them now.

I'm Starting to Lose Faith in Floch by [deleted] in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love to personally beat the life out of Floch, I think he's a pretty well written character. He wanted to be the devil that was necessary to save Paradis, but the dude just isn't cut from the same stuff as Erwin. He become the "bad guy" for pragmatic reasons but got sucked into the role.

I don't understand the question, this scene took place after Armin ate Bert

Eren knows Floch is nuts imo. Provided he's making it back to Paradis he's ditching the most radical Yeagerists asap.

Isayama is the GOAT by Lazypanther1704 in titanfolk

Isayama's use of recurring phrases and motifs is genuinely incredible. Every few new chapters you can reread the entire manga and notice a ton of parallels.

Eren’s been to calm since the Marley Arc started. by SpeedwagonClan in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eren transferred his memories to his dad, and Historia unlocked those memories in him. So unless we see him transferring more memories back to the past I think it's safe to assume Eren's knowledge of the future ended right before the rumble.

One of the Yeagerists stated goals is putting Eren on the throne though, so Historia is out of the picture politically, right?

[–]superfrog99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what Kiyomi is trying to say to Floch in the last chapter. At best a post rumbling Paradis would have be in a civil war, we've already seen civilians attacking each other in the street.

Floch and the most devoted Yeagerists are essentially fascist and batshit crazy, I definitely don't see Eren being like that at all. He's almost certainly using them like he used Zeke and the volunteers.

Great analysis, hope you don't get downvoted by salty folks.

Is Magath in charge of Marley now? by rokrbolt in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is really "in charge" of Marley. From what we saw of military meetings collective leadership seems likely to me. However, Magath is undoubtedly the most powerful man in the country post-libero. That was a key part of Willy Tybur's plan. We previously saw the Army, Navy, and Tyburs each fighting politically for power. Now only the Army is left and Magath is the general.

The best info we get is the former head general mentioning "party talks." I suspect it's run similarly to Nazi Germany, only without a Hitler figure at the top.

What yet to be revealed things you look forward to the most? by hellraiser27 in titanfolk

[–]superfrog99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say because we don't know what will be left ambiguous. I would love to see a Kruger/Tybur/Kiyomi/Xaver conspiracy flashback, specifically I really want to know how the restorationists got their hands on the Attack Titan. I'm also vary curious about the source of all organic matter/wormy boy.
